To implement Sub-project 1, Project 5, Program 1719 on innovation of activities, strengthening and developing ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding schools, secondary schools with semi-boarding students and eliminating illiteracy for ethnic minority people, Dak Nong province was allocated more than 60 billion VND from the central budget.

To date, the province has disbursed more than 34 billion VND, reaching over 57%. Of which, the capital allocated to the Department of Education and Training (GD-DT) reached over 54 billion VND, Dak Glong district was over 80%, Krong No district was over 24.2% and Tuy Duc district was over 51%.

At the meeting, the Department of Education and Training said that this unit is the investor in 8 projects to build ethnic boarding schools.
Currently, 8 projects have been appraised and approved for investment decisions with a total capital of more than 44.5 billion VND and have allocated 100% of the capital in detail according to regulations.
The remaining unallocated capital of 2.8 billion VND in 2025 is due to insufficient documents and procedures for detailed allocation.

After listening to reports and explanations from relevant units, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh said that Program 1719 has great significance and positive impacts on people's lives. In the past time, all levels and sectors have actively implemented it. However, due to some difficulties, the results have not yet met expectations.
The leaders of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee requested that departments and branches coordinate and effectively promote State resources for socio-economic development for people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Regarding unused funds, relevant units should proactively advise the Provincial People's Committee to send documents to the Central Ministries and branches for consideration and resolution.
