On June 15, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance's aid policy has helped Ukraine's defense capabilities to improve significantly in recent times. Meanwhile, the Netherlands, Norway and Denmark have just announced that they will provide additional aid to Kiev.

At a press conference in Brussels (Belgium), Secretary General Stoltenberg shared that NATO's aid to Ukraine in recent months "really makes a difference", especially in the context of Kiev conducting a counter-offensive campaign against Russian forces.

In addition, Mr. Stoltenberg also affirmed that at the NATO Defense Ministers' Conference in Brussels, ministers and partners in the defense industry will seek to further promote defense production activities.

According to him, the common standard for NATO member countries - spending 2% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on defense budget "is not a ceiling, but a minimum level to invest in ensuring common security".

On the same day, the Norwegian Ministry of Defense announced that Oslo and Copenhagen agreed to provide an additional 9,000 artillery shells to Ukraine.

Norway will provide warheads, while Denmark will support Kiev with detonators and propellants.

Previously, on June 14, according to information from the German website NTV , the Dutch Ministry of Defense will purchase 4 VERA-EG radar systems with a total value of 150 million Euros to help strengthen the strength of Ukraine's air defense force.

The Dutch Ministry of Defense said the VERA-EG radar system can be used to detect, locate, track and identify air, ground and sea targets.

Through a major deal to equip Kiev with four additional radar systems, the Netherlands is “contributing to Ukraine’s integrated air defense system.”

According to the Dutch Ministry of Defense, after the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam, as well as Russian air attacks on Ukrainian civilian and military targets, Kiev now needs to strengthen and enhance its air defense capabilities.

Therefore, the Netherlands is ready to contribute to this effort to help Ukraine gain an advantage in the conflict.

Earlier, on June 13, the US announced an additional military aid package worth 325 million USD for Ukraine, in the context of Kiev's counter-offensive campaign. The aid package includes missiles for air defense systems, ammunition as well as military vehicles.

According to the US State Department spokesman, this is the 40th aid package that the US has provided to Ukraine. Thus, since the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Washington has spent up to 40 billion USD to help Kiev ensure national security.
