Phu Quoc, Vung Tau, and Phan Thiet welcomed few visitors on Hung Kings' death anniversary due to the short holiday and the proximity to April 30, so most tourists did not choose to travel.

According to VnExpress , many major tourist destinations across the country were deserted on April 18. In Sa Pa, Bui Quyet, administrator of a large local tour group, said the town was "no different from a normal day". He said that when the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday falls close to the April 30 holiday, most tourists choose to "save" their trip for the next holiday.

Villas and homestays around Hanoi also did not record any overload. A representative of Anbooking, the unit managing more than 70 villas around Hanoi, said that only about 25% of the villas were booked for the Hung Kings' death anniversary, with most visitors checking in from April 17 and staying only one night.

Meanwhile, in Hanoi, the number of visitors to entertainment and tourist attractions has not changed much. However, a representative of the City Sightseeing Vietnam brand, which provides double-decker bus services to see the city, said the number of visitors reached about 700, an increase of nearly 2.5 times compared to normal days.

Phu Tho, where the Hung Temple Festival takes place, is expected to welcome around 500,000 visitors on the main day of the festival, April 18 (March 10 of the lunar calendar). Mr. Le Truong Giang, Director of the Hung Temple Historical Site, said that apart from the rainy weather, everything went smoothly as planned.

In Ha Long and Lan Ha bays, most cruise ships are 70-80% full because it is still the international tourist season. Rooms are booked until the end of April.

Regarding Ha Giang, Mr. Hoang Xuan Don, Director of Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, said that he had not recorded the specific number of visitors on April 18, but "it was definitely crowded, many places were full". Mr. Don explained that the districts in the area were in the festival season, so there were many visitors. On the evening of April 18, there was a Mong flute festival in Dong Van district, and on April 19, there was a cultural festival in Du Gia. In addition, the number of foreign visitors also helped to significantly increase the total number of tourists to Ha Giang.

In the South, the number of visitors to Binh Thuan is not much because of the hot weather and the holiday in the middle of the week. On the morning of April 18, the beach in front of the luxury resort along Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, Ham Tien Ward, was sparsely visited, and the water sports activities for sports-loving tourists here were also quiet. This is also the general situation of the beaches along the tourist areas in Phu Hai, Ham Tien, Mui Ne (Phan Thiet). There are not as many visitors as on normal weekends.

Few visitors, traffic on the coastal route from Ong Dia Stone Beach to Mui Ne is clear on the Hung Kings' death anniversary holiday. Roadside shops as well as at famous tourist spots are less bustling.

In Vung Tau, Mr. Pham Khac To, Director of the City's Center for Tourist Management and Support, said that this year, there were more than 27,000 visitors to Vung Tau during the Hung Kings' death anniversary, equal to 75% compared to the same period last year. Hotels in the city center have an average occupancy rate of 30-50%, most of which charge extra fees during the holiday.

Phu Quoc is as quiet as usual, tourist areas such as Rach Vem and the 4 islands have few visitors. On the evening of April 18, the number of visitors to Duong Dong night market was sparse. A representative of Phu Quoc Express, the shipping company running the route from Ha Tien and Rach Gia to Phu Quoc, also confirmed that the number of visitors this year has decreased significantly.

Unlike many other beach destinations, Phu Quy recorded a 90% occupancy rate on the island. All three passenger ferry companies from Phan Thiet to the island were sold out, with each company operating an average of 3-4 trips a day, each carrying more than 300 passengers.

The owner of a coastal hotel in Ngu Phung said that tourists coming to the island during the Hung Kings' death anniversary all take an extra three days off on the weekend. Guests booked rooms 2-3 weeks in advance. "Currently, the hotel has no more rooms available for the upcoming five-day holiday on April 30," the owner of the accommodation facility said.

Travel companies in Ho Chi Minh City said that the number of visitors did not fluctuate during the Hung Kings' death anniversary holiday. Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu, Marketing and Communications Director of Vietluxtour Travel, said that during this time, inner-city tours were of interest to tourists. During the week, the company had 3 groups visiting the inner city, including the Saigon Special Forces, Old Saigon - New Ho Chi Minh City, and Saigon Memories - Cho Lon routes. About 2/3 of the visitors were residents of Ho Chi Minh City and domestic visitors from other provinces. It is expected that from now until the end of the April 30 holiday, the company will have about 4-5 groups visiting the inner city each week.

A representative of Viet Travel Company said that tours from the center of Ho Chi Minh City to Tay Ninh, Can Gio, and Cu Chi were of interest to customers during the Hung Kings' death anniversary holiday. The number of bookings increased by about 10% compared to usual.
