The Dimensity 9400 is built on the second-generation All Big Core design and ARM v9.2 CPU architecture, with a 1+3+4 structure that optimizes performance in every task. Specifically, this chip includes:

1 Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.63 GHz for high-performance tasks.

3 Cortex-X4 cores with a maximum speed of 3.3 GHz.

4 power-efficient Cortex-A720 cores, running at 2.4 GHz.

Compared to the previous generation, the Dimensity 9400 has a 15% increase in instructions per cycle (IPC), resulting in a 35% increase in single-core performance and a 28% increase in multi-core performance.

Dimensity 9400 supports AI task processing directly on the device.

In the graphics processor, MediaTek has equipped the Immortalis-G925 GPU operating at 1,612 MHz, providing 40% faster ray tracing and 44% power efficiency compared to previous versions. This brings a smoother visual and graphics experience to users, especially when playing games or processing high-end graphics.

In terms of AI processing capabilities, the Dimensity 9400 integrates the NPU 890, which helps perform artificial intelligence tasks more efficiently and energy-efficiently.

This NPU consumes 35% less power than the previous generation, supporting features like 100x zoom, improved image detail, and 4K video recording at 60fps with optimal power efficiency.

MediaTek also brings breakthroughs in photography and video recording with the Imagiq 1090 ISP, allowing smartphones with the Dimensity 9400 chip to record HDR video across the entire zoom range.

This means users can switch between zoom levels and lenses without any loss of video quality, opening up endless creative opportunities for filmmakers and content creators.

The Dimensity 9400 is the first chipset on the market to support LPDDR5X RAM at 10.7Gb/s, a major step forward in optimizing the speed and performance of mobile devices. In addition, the L2 cache is increased by 100% and the L3 cache is increased by 50%, significantly improving data processing speed.

According to MediaTek, the Dimensity 9400 has already started shipping to major OEMs like Oppo and Vivo. It is expected to appear in new Android flagships like the Oppo Find X8 and Vivo X200, bringing superior performance and top-notch features to users.
