Economic growth

Entering 2025, Quang Yen Town has reviewed new resources and driving forces; calculated each resource and growth factor in each industry and field. From there, it has set an economic growth target from 14.5% to 18.9%, equivalent to the scale of production value of economic sectors that needs to reach 77,086 billion VND. This target opens up opportunities, challenges as well as creates a lot of pressure for local authorities.

With synchronous and effective solutions, the first quarter of the year recorded positive changes in the socio-economic picture of Quang Yen town. The economy maintained a stable development momentum with a positive growth trend. The total production value reached over 16,385 billion VND, equal to 21.25% of the plan and increased by 22% over the same period last year. In particular, industrial production operated stably, creating high product value, especially processed and manufactured industrial products in Dong Mai Industrial Park and Amata Industrial Park. The industrial production value was estimated at over 10,300 billion VND, equal to 23.5% of the plan, up 9.6% over the same period. The town's trade and service sector recorded growth with total retail sales of goods estimated at over 4,834 billion VND, up 49.7% over the same period. The value of the trade and service sector grew strongly, estimated at over VND 2,295 billion, equal to 22.1% of the plan, up 41.9% over the same period.

In the first quarter, the town coordinated with departments, branches and sectors in investment promotion, attracting an expected 6 foreign investment projects with a total registered investment capital of about 447.4 million USD in industrial parks. Grasping the operating situation of enterprises in the area to resolve according to authority or propose to the provincial departments and branches to resolve, contributing to creating favorable conditions for enterprises to develop. It is estimated that by the end of the first quarter, the town has newly established 26/130 enterprises, reaching 20%. The production value of the construction industry is estimated at 2,952 billion VND, equal to 16.4% of the plan, up 92.3% over the same period. The total construction investment capital reached 4,805.5 billion VND, reaching 15.6% of the plan, up 95.6%.

The cultural and social fields continue to receive attention to improve quality, people's lives are guaranteed to be stable. Policies to support disadvantaged groups are implemented promptly and effectively, especially during the Lunar New Year 2025. The town has established delegations to give Tet gifts to nearly 13,500 subjects with a total budget of over 10 billion VND. The town has approved support for tuition subsidy for secondary school graduates to continue studying at intermediate level with tuition exemption or reduction according to regulations; support for nearly 1,200 vocational students in the list of encouraged training occupations of the province. In particular, the town issued a plan to reduce 59/59 near-poor households, equivalent to a 100% reduction in the total number of near-poor households in the town.

Create momentum for year-round growth

According to Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town, the results achieved in the first quarter are a driving force to create momentum for Quang Yen's development in 2025. In the second quarter, the locality will continue to synchronously and effectively implement resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Council to fulfill the goals and targets of socio-economic development in the first 6 months of the year as a basis for implementation in the whole year of 2025. The town will continue to create all favorable conditions for investors and enterprises that have been researching and investing in the town; coordinate to remove difficulties and obstacles in investment. Speed up the construction progress of transitional works, urge the settlement of completed projects; strive to disburse 50% of the capital plan by the end of the second quarter.

Continue to implement programs and events to stimulate tourism in the town during the year. In particular, focus on organizing the Bach Dang Festival in 2025 and promoting the image of the land and people of Quang Yen. Coordinate and create favorable conditions for tourism businesses to invest in upgrading facilities and improving service quality. At the same time, effectively exploit tourist routes and destinations in the area.

In the coming time, the locality will innovate the direction and management work from the town to the grassroots level. Continue to strengthen discipline and administrative discipline; promote the role, responsibility and exemplary role of leaders in directing and implementing tasks. Continue to thoroughly grasp and do a good job of orienting the ideology of cadres and civil servants so as not to let the psychological impacts of the policy of reorganizing the apparatus and administrative units at all levels affect the implementation of socio-economic development goals.

The town strengthens the work of ensuring security and order for investment projects in the area; increases the launch of campaigns to fight against all types of crimes; organizes patrols, checks and strictly handles cases of traffic safety violations, minimizing serious traffic accidents; strictly handles overloaded vehicles transporting materials, causing environmental pollution in the town. Information and communication work fully and promptly reflects the State's policies and laws and issues of public concern to guide and create consensus among the people.
