Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên04/11/2024

Minister Nguyen Kim Son hopes that delegates will clarify which groups are pursuing illegal interests and "help us find out where those groups are so that we can coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and the Procuracy to arrest and take them away."

On the afternoon of November 4, at the National Assembly's discussion session on socio-economic issues, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son explained and clarified a number of issues of concern to delegates.

Mr. Son cited information that delegates expressed concerns about the printing and distribution of textbooks, which have "group interest" issues.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son

The education sector has made many changes.

Minister Nguyen Kim Son said that in the past few years, the education sector has made many adjustments and there are also a few people involved in organizing illegal bidding for paper and printing and distributing books.

"These people have all been arrested and taken away. Now, I hope the delegates will clarify which groups are pursuing illegal interests and help us find out where those groups are so that we can coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and the Procuracy to arrest and take them away," said Mr. Son.

The Minister of Education and Training also took time to further analyze the content mentioned by many delegates, which is training high-quality human resources for emerging industries and cutting-edge technology.

According to the head of the education and training sector, Vietnam is training high-quality human resources in an economy with a large proportion of FDI enterprises. Many new enterprises often bring with them fields that Vietnam does not have or are new fields.

"When they bring a new field that Vietnam does not have, the question they will ask is, have you prepared enough human resources for me?

This is always a difficult question to answer, so it is necessary to analyze all the difficulties in training human resources to meet the needs of FDI enterprises, in areas that we do not have. Therefore, planning and proactiveness in the future need to increase to be able to meet this requirement," Mr. Son stated.

Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung

Striving to be in the top 3 ASEAN in innovation

Also related to training high-quality human resources, in the explanation, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung affirmed that this is the content that Vietnam needs to focus on in the coming time, associated with promoting scientific research, developing the application of science and technology, promoting startups and innovation.

"Strive to be in the top 3 ASEAN countries in the global innovation index by the end of 2025," Mr. Dung stated the goal.

To achieve the above goal, Mr. Dung said that it is necessary to focus on two major projects. The first is to develop human resources for the semiconductor industry until 2030, with a vision to 2050. The second is to develop high-quality human resources to serve high-tech development.

Some other projects also need attention, and at the same time, there should be policies to attract high-quality human resources to the public sector. In university training, it is necessary to focus on scientific research and take university autonomy as a breakthrough.

In vocational education, the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said that it is necessary to focus on innovation in cooperation between schools, businesses and the State, in which connecting businesses must be a breakthrough.

At the same time, from 2025, a national policy framework on population aging prevention and control must be developed; and the replacement fertility rate must be adjusted. "This is a very important and strategic issue," said Mr. Dung.

Delegate Trinh Tu Anh

Vietnam could become an ideal destination for the semiconductor industry.

Previously, delegate Trinh Thi Tu Anh (Lam Dong delegation) stated that in the context of rapid integration and development of the digital economy, the semiconductor industry has emerged as one of the strategic pillars of the 21st century. The semiconductor industry is not only the foundation for technological devices but also plays a core role in the digital economy of each country.

Vietnam is facing great opportunities but also many challenges in developing the semiconductor industry. Typically, there is a shortage of technology and high-quality human resources, especially chip design engineers and material scientists; training programs have not been updated and the quality has not met international standards.

In addition, cooperation between universities and enterprises is limited, leading to a gap between theory and practice. Stable power supply and clean energy have not met the needs of the semiconductor industry.

The female delegate said that if Vietnam takes advantage of opportunities and invests heavily in human resources, ecosystems and energy, it can become an ideal destination for the global semiconductor industry.

Ms. Tu Anh suggested that it is necessary to soon develop and implement specialized training programs on the semiconductor industry, promote public-private cooperation to improve the quality of human resource training, and at the same time create favorable conditions for the private sector to participate in the training process, invest heavily in developing renewable energy and ensure a stable power source for the semiconductor industry...
