(TN&MT) - On the morning of November 17, Mr. Do Duc Duy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Yen Bai province visited and congratulated the staff and teachers of Minh Quan Primary and Secondary School on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024. Accompanying him were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan; Permanent Vice Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Phuoc; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Bai province Giang A Tong.
Minh Quan Primary and Secondary School currently has 20 classes with 596 students. With the attention of the Party, the State and the province, the school's facilities have been invested relatively fully. All 20 classrooms have projectors, televisions, computers and Internet connection to serve the school's teaching and learning, meeting the new general education program of 2018.
Over the years, the school has been continuously recognized by the People's Committee of Tran Yen district as an "Advanced Labor Collective". The attendance rate for preschool level is always 96.4%. In particular, the attendance rate for 5-year-old classes is always 97% or higher. For primary school level, the rate of students completing the curriculum is always maintained at 99.3%. For secondary school level, the rate of excellent students of the school is 12.8%; the rate of good students is over 48%. The results of the entrance exam to grade 10 are always at the top of the district. In the 2023-2024 school year, the school has students winning first prize at the district level, second prize at the provincial level, many students passed Nguyen Tat Thanh specialized school.
After listening to the school's report, Mr. Do Duc Duy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Yen Bai province expressed his joy and excitement at the changes and achievements of the schools in recent times, especially the facilities, schools and classrooms that have been invested in to be spacious, clean and beautiful.
On the basis of merging 3 schools: Minh Quan Kindergarten, Primary School and Secondary School, with the characteristics of 3 levels of education in one training facility with 20 classrooms, nearly 600 students of all levels with only 38 staff and teachers, but in 2024, the School was recognized as a National Standard School at level 1 and Quality Accreditation at level 2. The comprehensive education results and key education of the school are always excellent. Comrade Do Duc Duy affirmed that this is the result of the care for the education and training career of the authorities at all levels of Yen Bai province, Tran Yen district and the people of all ethnic groups over the past years.
In particular, last September, Storm No. 3 (YAGI) severely affected Yen Bai province, Tran Yen district and specifically Minh Quan commune, causing damage to both people and property. In such difficult circumstances, Minh Quan commune quickly supported, closely coordinated with forces, urgently overcame the consequences, urgently cleaned up and restored schools so that students could return to class on time, without interrupting the learning program.
Minister Do Duc Duy affirmed that the results achieved by the school during this period were due to the very important role of the teachers in the school; the close attention and direction of the provincial leaders, district leaders and the education sector of Yen Bai province; and the attention, support, solidarity and unanimity of the people.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, Minister Do Duc Duy respectfully acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the contributions of generations of teachers of the school and sent his best wishes to the teachers. Minister Do Duc Duy believes and hopes that the teachers will always strive to excellently fulfill the tasks assigned to them by the Party, State and people.
Minister Do Duc Duy hopes that teachers and students of Minh Quan Primary and Secondary School will continue to strive to make the school a typical happy school of Tran Yen district so that every day the children go to school is a happy day, stepping foot in school is living in a second home filled with joy and happiness, contributing to the goal of building a happy commune, a happy district and moving towards a happy province.
