Attending the gift-giving and New Year greetings ceremony were leaders of several departments and units under the Ethnic Committee. On the Lao Cai side, there were comrade Ly Binh Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of several departments, branches and sectors of Lao Cai province; and leaders of Sa Pa town.
Sa Pa town was established on January 1, 2020 on the basis of the entire 681.37 km2 natural area and population of 81,857 people of Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province. After its establishment, Sa Pa town has 16 commune-level administrative units, including 6 wards and 10 communes. The town has achieved many outstanding results in socio-economic development. The state budget revenue in 2024 in the whole year reached 1,421 billion VND, continuing to rank at the top of the province. The town has completed 100% of the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, support and rebuild houses for more than 553 households, with a total cost of 30 billion VND.
Despite many outstanding achievements, the lives of many households in the town are still facing many difficulties, especially ethnic minorities in remote areas. Especially the difficulties encountered after storm No. 3. The town has been implementing well the regimes and policies for policy families, social subjects, poor families; making efforts to take care of Tet for the poor in the Spring of At Ty 2025.
Ta Van commune is a commune in region III of Sa Pa town. The commune has 7 villages with 937 households and 4,937 people. The whole commune still has 118 poor households, accounting for 11% of the population. The commune has taken the lead in patriotic emulation movements and successfully completed the 2024 tasks of Sa Pa town. In the construction of new rural areas, Ta Van commune has completed 19/19 criteria.
In Ta Van commune, Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh and the working delegation presented 97 gifts to prestigious people in Sa Pa town, each worth 1 million VND; 118 gifts to poor ethnic minority households in Ta Van commune, each worth 1 million VND and gifts worth 300,000 VND; presented 20 million VND to the Ta Van commune collective; presented gifts to the Ta Van commune police.
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh acknowledged the achievements that Ta Van commune in particular and Sa Pa town in general have achieved, especially in building new rural areas, improving people's lives, preserving landscapes, developing the economy, ensuring national defense and security, and receiving the people's consensus and support for the political system; implementing well the work of poverty reduction, and completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.
Appreciating and being happy with the achievements of Sa Pa town in general and Ta Van commune, Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh hopes that Ta Van commune in particular and Sa Pa town in general will continue to preserve the landscape and protect the environment; preserve and promote cultural identity; do a good job in forest fire prevention and fighting.
