Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh spoke at the gift-giving ceremony.

Attending the gift-giving ceremony were leaders of several departments and units under the Ethnic Committee. On the Lao Cai province side, there were comrade Ly Binh Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Ethnic Committee; representatives of several provincial departments, branches and sectors; and leaders of Bat Xat district.

In Trung Leng Ho commune, Bat Xat district, the delegation presented 175 gifts to prestigious people in ethnic minorities in Bat Xat district, each worth 1 million VND; 213 gifts to poor ethnic minority households, each worth 1 million VND and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND; gifts to the collective of Trung Leng Ho commune.

Bat Xat is a mountainous district with a large ethnic minority population. People's lives are still difficult and the poverty rate is still high. In 2024, the locality suffered severe consequences from storm No. 3, causing great damage to people and property. Despite many difficulties, the district has effectively implemented socio-economic development goals and tasks in the area. Social security work, timely settlement of regimes and policies.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Minister and Chairman Hau A Lenh praised the achievements of Lao Cai province in general and Bat Xat district in particular in socio-economic development and improving people's lives. The province and district have made many efforts to overcome difficulties, effectively implement programs and policies; and allocate resources to ensure social security and care for the poor.

Minister and Chairman Hau A Lenh said that the Party and State always pay attention to ethnic minority and mountainous areas with many programs and policies to promote socio-economic development, create jobs, take care of health, develop education and training in ethnic minority areas...

With the Vietnamese people's morality of "when drinking water, remember its source", these days, the Party, the State, all levels, sectors and the whole society have been devoting resources to social security activities, taking care of Tet for the poor, policy families, and ethnic minorities with the wish that every family can have a warm and happy Tet.

Sharing the difficulties with the province, district, and commune, especially the damage caused by storm No. 3 and natural disasters, which have made people's lives difficult and caused great economic damage to the locality, the Minister and Chairman hoped that the locality would continue to pay attention and care for ethnic minorities, unite and compete to develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; complete the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; take care of children's education; take care of health, protect the environment...

Along with the support of the State, the Minister and Chairman also hope for the cooperation of the whole society; provincial, district and communal leaders continue to pay attention to and fully implement the policies of the Party and State, effectively implement ethnic policies, and promote socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas.
