Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has just signed Decision No. 638/QD-TTg dated June 5, 2023 of the Prime Minister appointing Major General Nguyen Van Than to hold the position of Assistant Minister of National Defense.

According to the Decision, the Prime Minister appointed Major General Nguyen Van Than, Deputy Director of the Institute of Defense Strategy, Ministry of National Defense, to hold the position of Assistant to General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member and Minister of National Defense.
The decision takes effect from the date of signing.
