A peace epic towards 50 years of national unification

This is the first large-scale political and artistic exchange program held at three locations: the studio of the Military Radio and Television Center ( Hanoi ); Thong Nhat Hall (HCMC) and Buon Ma Thuot Victory Monument, Dak Lak province.

The bridges have profound symbolic meanings. Specifically, Hanoi represents the strategic direction and great rear in the resistance war to unify the country. Buon Ma Thuot marks the opening victory, creating a turning point for the great victory of spring 1975. Meanwhile, Reunification Hall, Ho Chi Minh City is a symbol of victory, peace and national unity.

Attending the bridge points were representatives of the Government leaders, central and local ministries, veteran cadres, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the people's armed forces and people from all walks of life.

The program takes place from 8-10 p.m., broadcast live on Vietnam National Defense Television (QPVN), HTV1 - Ho Chi Minh City Television, DRT - Dak Lak Radio and Television, local television channels and digital platforms.

The performance was built on the great victory of the resistance war to unify the country, ending 21 years (1954 - 1975) of arduous and heroic struggle of the nation.

Attending the bridge points were Politburo member, Minister of National Defense - General Phan Van Giang; Politburo member, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh; representatives of leaders of central ministries, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and localities; veteran cadres, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the people's armed forces and people from all walks of life.

The program is elaborately staged, combining historical reports with special art performances such as chamber music, contemporary dance, live performances, 3D mapping, fireworks, etc.

Notably, the program had an exchange with many historical witnesses, including Colonel, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Tu De, a pilot of the Quyet Thang squadron, who used a captured enemy plane to bomb Tan Son Nhat airport on April 28, 1975; journalist Tran Mai Huong, former General Director of Vietnam News Agency ; and veterans Tran Binh Yen and Nguyen Ngoc Quy, both soldiers of tank 846, tank brigade 203, 2nd Corps of the Liberation Army.
