The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nui Thanh district affirmed that the meeting of the People's Council of Tam Nghia commune and the election of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune were in accordance with the law and the commune had submitted it to the district for signature on March 7, before receiving the document from the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.
On March 11, VietNamNet received feedback from readers about the fact that on March 7, the People's Committee of Nui Thanh District (Quang Nam) approved the election results of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Nghia Commune. However, the conclusion of the Politburo clearly stated that from March 7, it is required to temporarily suspend the appointment of leadership and management positions at the provincial, district, and commune levels until the completion of the province merger, the abolition of the district level, the reorganization of commune-level administrative units, and the streamlining of the Fatherland Front agencies, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State.
Specifically, according to information reported by readers, on the afternoon of March 7, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nui Thanh district signed and issued Decision No. 1183/QD-UBND on approving the results of the by-election of Mr. Bui Quoc Bieu (born in 1979), Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, holding the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Nghia commune, term 13, term 2021-2026.
Previously, at 2:00 p.m. on March 7, the People's Council of Tam Nghia commune began opening the 11th session, 13th term, 2021-2026 term to carry out the procedure of dismissing the position of Chairman of the Commune People's Committee and electing a replacement for the position of Chairman of the Commune People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
At the meeting, delegates voted to elect Mr. Bui Quoc Bieu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tam Nghia commune, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune. The election result was 21/23 votes in favor.
Mr. Bieu has held various positions in Nui Thanh district such as: Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Director of the Political Center, Deputy Head of the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Director of the Center for Culture - Sports and Radio - Television.
Regarding this incident, on the morning of March 12, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Ms. Huynh Thi Tu - Chairman of Tam Nghia Commune People's Council confirmed that the Commune People's Council had organized the election of Mr. Bui Quoc Bieu as Chairman of this commune on Friday afternoon (March 7).
Ms. Tu said that the commune followed the regulations because before that, on February 27, Mr. Bui Quoc Bieu (Director of the District Culture - Sports and Radio - Television Center) was transferred to take up the position of Deputy Secretary of the Tam Nghia Commune Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and was introduced to be elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of this commune (term 2021-2026).
Because the plan to organize this meeting was made in advance and invitations were sent to delegates, on March 7, Tam Nghia Commune People's Council held a meeting and elected according to regulations.
According to Ms. Tu, the meeting lasted about 1 hour and then the People's Committee of Nui Thanh district approved the appointment on the afternoon of March 7. It was not until the morning of March 8 that she received notice of the temporary suspension of the appointment from the central government.
Speaking to reporters over the phone, Mr. Le Van Sinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nui Thanh district (the person who signed the decision approving the results of the election of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Nghia commune) affirmed that the meeting of the People's Council of Tam Nghia commune and the election of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune were in accordance with the law and the commune had submitted it to the district for signature on March 7, before receiving the document from the Provincial Party Committee.
