Ministry of Science and Technology accompanies Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue City to remove development "bottlenecks"

On the morning of March 21, 2025, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong chaired an online conference between the Government's working delegation and the People 's Committees of Quang Binh, Quang Tri provinces and Hue City . The conference focused on discussing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the socio-economic development process of localities.

At the three local bridges, there were the participation of Mr. Ha Sy Dong, Acting Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Phan Phong Phu, Vice Chairman of Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

Representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Ministry of Ethnicity and Religion, Ministry of Finance, Government Inspectorate, EVN Group and representatives of many other agencies and units attended directly at the headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong spoke at the Conference.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that 2025 is an important and decisive time in completing the socio-economic development goals for the 2021-2025 period, especially the 8% growth target.

The Deputy Minister said that the Ministry of Science and Technology is committed to working closely with the provinces to remove all bottlenecks and promote innovative solutions . simultaneously​ Hope that relevant ministries and branches will join hands to support and create favorable conditions for localities to make breakthroughs .

The Ministry of Science and Technology also requested localities to proactively develop growth scenarios for each quarter, focusing on resolving outstanding recommendations . Close coordination between central and local agencies will be a key factor in achieving development goals.

The conference was held online.

At the Conference, representatives of Quang Binh, Quang Tri provinces and Hue City shared about difficulties surrounding areas such as public investment, land, planning, finance, transportation, wind power and BOT.

Up to now, 33/39 petitions from 3 localities have been resolved, the remaining 12 petitions is in the process of being processed. The Ministry of Science and Technology affirms that it will continue to accompany and provide maximum support to remove obstacles and ensure the progress of important projects.

Relevant ministries and branches also directly discussed and analyzed the causes of backlog and proposed specific solutions to quickly and effectively handle the recommendations .

The conference took place in an urgent and responsible atmosphere, demonstrating the high determination of the Ministry of Science and Technology and localities. The Ministry of Science and Technology will continue to closely monitor and urge ministries , branches and localities to implement the agreed solutions and submit to the Government a number of recommendations and proposals .

Overview of the Conference.

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong suggested that localities effectively implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The application of technology and innovation is expected to open up sustainable development opportunities for localities.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that with the close support from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the determination of localities, bottlenecks will soon be removed, creating a strong driving force for socio-economic development in Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Hue City./.
