(Dan Tri) - For violations related to anti-corruption, negativity and exemplary responsibility during his tenure as Secretary of Binh Thuan, Mr. Duong Van An was disciplined by the Politburo with a warning.
On January 10, the Politburo and Secretariat reviewed and disciplined party members with violations and shortcomings.
After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission, the Politburo found that Mr. Duong Van An (Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee) during his tenure as Secretary of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee (from October 2020 to March 2024), violated Party regulations and State laws in performing his assigned duties and tasks.
Mr. An also violated regulations on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.
According to the Politburo, those violations caused serious consequences, great damage to the state budget, bad public opinion, and reduced the prestige of party organizations and local authorities.
Therefore, the Politburo decided to issue a disciplinary warning to Mr. Duong Van An and requested that competent authorities promptly and consistently enforce administrative discipline in line with Party discipline.
