Binh Phuoc ranks second in growth in the Southeast region

Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Council Huynh Thi Hang said that Binh Phuoc has promptly implemented the Resolution of the National Assembly and the Government on key tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan and state budget estimates for 2024, contributing to helping the province's economy overcome difficulties and achieve important results.

According to the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, in the first 6 months of 2024, the province's growth rate is estimated at 7.76%, ranking 2nd in the Southeast region and 18th in the country. Export turnover is estimated at 2.23 billion USD, up 20% over the same period. Total budget revenue is estimated at 5,355 billion VND, total budget expenditure is estimated at 7,893 billion VND.

Binh Phuoc has focused on implementing key transport projects to serve socio-economic development and ensure national defense and security of the province. Focus resources on developing inter-regional transport

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that Binh Phuoc plays a strategic and important role in the new economic corridor, being the gateway for economic, cultural and social exchanges between the Southeast region and the Central Highlands and the border with Cambodia.

In the coming time, Binh Phuoc needs to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Resolutions of the Party, National Assembly, and Government on socio-economic development, national defense, and security; promote administrative procedure reform, improve the investment and business environment; promote the application of digital technology in management and settlement of administrative procedures.

In particular, Binh Phuoc needs to focus resources on developing inter-regional transport, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong. Ensure the progress and quality of the implementation of the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project, the western section of Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) according to the Resolution of the National Assembly just passed.

Focus on effectively implementing the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; closely combining economic, cultural and social development with ensuring national defense, security, foreign affairs, especially the peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border diplomacy with Cambodia; building a strong national defense, a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and sustainable development border area.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the People's Council of Binh Phuoc province, with the motto "Responsibility, innovation, professionalism, efficiency", to continue to organize and implement well, improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the People's Council's supervision activities; focus on improving the quality and efficiency of the examination and supervision activities of the People's Council's committees and delegations of the Provincial People's Council.
