On the morning of October 17, at Pham Thi Tran Theater, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union (PPU) held a conference to honor outstanding women for the 2023-2024 period.
This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, the 65th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Ninh Binh (1959-2024), the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2024) and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.
Attending the commendation conference were comrades: Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Do Viet Anh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission. Also attending were leaders of departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the provincial level; leaders of district and city Party Committees, Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc.
Notably, the conference was attended by 143 outstanding female delegates with outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns and tasks of the Association in the period of 2023-2024.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Comrade Dao Thi Hoa, Provincial Party Committee member, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union emphasized: Following the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, in recent years, Ninh Binh women have promoted the tradition of "Three Virtues" women, upholding the spirit of solidarity, being exemplary, well implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; enthusiastically participating in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the implementation of local political tasks. In particular, the emulation movement "Building Ninh Binh women of the new era", the campaign "Building families of 5 no, 3 clean", the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", the emulation movement "Skillful mass mobilization" are associated with studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh and closely following the annual working theme of the Central Association and the Provincial Party Committee. The launching, deployment, and organization of emulation movements and campaigns must be systematic, innovative, and scientific, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among women of all walks of life.
From the movements and campaigns, many models, examples, effective and creative methods have emerged in many fields, actively contributing to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals, improving the quality of life of women and people.
Notably, the Union at all levels has built 595 projects, tasks, 507 "Smart Mass Mobilization" models in various fields; supported over 1,000 women to start businesses; consulted on the establishment of 13 cooperatives and cooperatives managed by women; helped over 1,000 poor and near-poor women's households to escape poverty sustainably and improve their quality of life. The Union at all levels continued to maintain and expand the "Clean House, Beautiful Garden" movement in 323 branches; planted 173 km of "Women's Tree and Flower Roads", "Model Roads"; guided and supported 205 branches in 72 communes to collect, classify and treat household waste with indigenous microorganisms...
In addition, the Union at all levels has done a good job of participating in building the Party, the government and the increasingly strong political system. The Union's organizational building activities have been increasingly innovated, the whole province has 344 "Associations attracting 100% of women of age to participate in the Union", 94% of the Union's grassroots organizations attract at least 80% of women aged 18 and over in the area to participate in the Union, the rate of attracting members in the whole province reaches 86.9%.
After the opening speech, delegates watched the television report "Building Ninh Binh women in the new era" and listened to representatives of outstanding female cadres and members discuss and clarify the achievements and results achieved in implementing patriotic emulation movements in the locality.
At the conference, 143 female cadres and members were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the province's emulation movements for the period 2023-2024 in the following fields: Economic development; participation in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; building happy families; humanitarian and charitable activities; and building the Association.
You are truly the fresh flowers of the women's movement, the pioneering force, the core nucleus, the shining examples of inspiration, creating more motivation for the women's movement and the Association's activities to make more progress in the coming time.
