Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi Health Sector Trade Union Trinh To Tam said that currently, the Hanoi Health Sector Trade Union is managing 115 affiliated grassroots trade unions with over 27,000 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers. Of these, there are nearly 20,000 female cadres (accounting for over 70%).
They are doctors, pharmacists, nurses, midwives, technicians and other professionals... working in medical units throughout the industry, day and night dedicated to caring for and serving patients, and preventing and fighting epidemics.
Currently, the Hanoi health sector has 75 female cadres holding the positions of director, deputy director of units and leaders of departments at the Department of Health (accounting for nearly 30%). The work of appointing female cadres to key positions of the unit is also planned annually, training and helping female cadres to be confident and assert themselves in their work.
Over the past years, the capital's health sector has achieved many successes in caring for and protecting the health of the people of the capital and neighboring provinces. The sector has proactively promoted disease prevention and control in the community; improved the quality of primary health care, maintained and improved the quality of national standards for commune health care; expanded the model of health stations operating according to the principles of family medicine. Food safety work has been promoted. The whole city has effectively implemented plans and projects to improve population quality.
In particular, in medical examination and treatment, hospitals continue to reform administrative procedures, medical examination and treatment processes; effectively manage hospital quality, build hygiene, and green - clean - beautiful hospitals.
The units focus on improving the quality of patient service with the motto "Taking the patient as the center of service", promoting the development of new techniques.
City-level hospitals focus on developing specialized techniques in many fields on par with central hospitals such as: organ transplantation, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, cancer diagnosis and treatment, plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, trauma, orthopedics...
In addition, hospitals continue to invest in medical examination and treatment equipment, including modern equipment such as integrated operating rooms, hybrid operating rooms, surgical robots, and cancer hyperthermia machines.
In 2024 alone, organ transplantation techniques were successfully deployed and performed by Xanh Pon General Hospital and Duc Giang General Hospital... thereby contributing significantly to the overall achievements of the capital's health sector, which always has the efforts and dedication of female staff.
Many female cadres are truly shining examples of the capital's health sector. Many female cadres have led their units to excellently complete their assigned tasks and have been highly commended, such as: Xanh Pon General Hospital, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Duc Giang General Hospital...

Not only interested in professional work, many female cadres also actively participate in Union activities and patriotic emulation movements in units. Many female union cadres actively participate in activities, contributing with grassroots unions to receive emulation flags and certificates of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the City Labor Federation, and the Vietnam Medical Trade Union.
On this occasion, the Hanoi Health Sector Trade Union honored 178 individuals who are outstanding female cadres in professional work and patriotic emulation movements.
