On February 4, Song Tu Tay Island Infirmary, Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 received and provided emergency care to fishermen on fishing boats in Binh Dinh province.

The patient is Mr. Vo Xuan Vi, 42 years old, residing in Tam Quan ward, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province; a fisherman on fishing boat BD 98524 TS who had a work accident while exploiting seafood at sea.

According to the patient, at around 4:00 p.m. on February 3, while working on the ship, his right hand was caught in an ice grinder, causing severe bleeding. The crew members on the ship provided first aid and bandaged the wound.

The patient was admitted to Song Tu Tay Island infirmary in the following condition: conscious, good contact, M80 l/min, BP120/70 mmHg. Through initial first aid, the island's military doctor diagnosed the patient with an injury to the right hand, peeling skin on the back of the hand, jagged wound edges, heavy bleeding, many foreign objects, and a partial rupture of the tendon under the second finger due to a work accident on the second day.

Currently, after surgery, the patient is awake, responsive, no fever, no pain at the surgical site, the surgical site has absorbed little fluid, the skin on the fingertips is warm and pink, and the fingers of the right hand can move. Continue using antibiotics, pain relievers, changing bandages, and monitoring the condition of the surgical site.
