On January 3, the People's Committee of Ward 15 (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) announced the search for biological parents for abandoned newborns in the area.
3 days ago, at around 5:15 a.m., a resident was doing morning exercises on Truong Chinh Street (Ward 15) when he discovered a blue handbag.
When he checked, he discovered a newborn baby inside so he called the authorities.
Upon inspection, the abandoned newborn was a baby boy, about 3 days old, weighing 3 kg, and 50 cm long. The baby boy was wrapped in a red scarf, white gloves, wearing a white hat, white clothes with blue borders, with a note written inside, and placed in a green travel bag.
The boy was then taken to the ward health station for health care.
Ward 15 People's Committee said that after 7 days from the date of announcement, if the child's biological parents are not found, the ward authorities will carry out procedures according to the law. If anyone knows information about the child's biological parents, they should promptly report to Ward 15 People's Committee for resolution.
The owner of a row of rented rooms in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City was shocked to discover a suitcase containing the decomposing body of a newborn baby.
