Thousands of vehicles from Mai Chi Tho, Nguyen Thi Dinh... all poured into the direction of Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway, causing congestion. Many people were worried about traffic jams so they rushed home early. To avoid local congestion, traffic police were on duty regularly, directing traffic.
Similarly, at the An Lac roundabout on Kinh Duong Vuong Street, Binh Tan District, traffic was also congested for more than 1km, many people had to drive onto the sidewalk to move. However, by around 6:30 p.m., traffic was more open, with a large number of vehicles moving smoothly.
In Binh Chanh district, the road leading to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway (from the roundabout of National Highway 1A to the toll station at the beginning of the expressway) also experienced prolonged traffic jams in both directions on the evening of August 30.
On Highway 13, as the evening progresses, more and more vehicles pour into the Eastern Bus Station (Binh Thanh District). Vehicles have to move slowly, many people rush to the bus station after work to catch the bus on time.
At Mien Tay Bus Station, many people were afraid of the crowd so they arrived early to wait for the departure time. My An, a student at Hutech University, said that right after finishing her last subject early this afternoon, she quickly prepared her luggage to go to the station early, waiting for the time to get on the bus to go home for the holiday with her family.
At around 7:30 p.m., despite the heavy rain, the number of passengers waiting at the station was still very large. A representative of the Western Bus Station said that the number of passengers entering the station today was about 54,500 with more than 1,800 buses departing, mainly to the Western provinces.
Meanwhile, at the new Eastern Bus Station, since the afternoon, the youth volunteer force has been ready to assist passengers in moving to the bus. Today, the bus station is estimated to receive about 9,000 passengers.

Traffic police from Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces had to organize traffic flow, allowing one-way traffic (priority for the direction from Tien Giang to Ben Tre), however, by 7:30 p.m., the traffic congestion had not improved.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Dung, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Province Police, said that since the afternoon of August 30, the number of vehicles traveling on National Highway 60 through Rach Mieu Bridge (from Tien Giang to Ben Tre) has increased dramatically. The unit had to mobilize all forces to the road, organize traffic flow, guide and regulate traffic. It is forecasted that on the night of August 30 and the morning of August 31, the number of vehicles traveling on National Highway 60 to Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces will continue to increase.

Similarly, on National Highways 1A, N2, 50, and 62 through Long An and Tien Giang provinces , in the afternoon and evening of August 30, traffic was also congested in many sections, sometimes hundreds of meters long, due to the increased number of vehicles traveling to the Western provinces.
In Vinh Long , from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on August 30, thousands of vehicles were "stuck" on National Highway 57 leading to Dinh Khao ferry (in Long Ho district, Vinh Long province).
On the afternoon of August 30, Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam, Vice Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee, said that he had directed the transport sector and related units to focus on ensuring traffic order and safety during the National Day holiday on September 2, resolutely and strictly handling traffic violations, reducing the risk of traffic jams and accidents.
On the same day, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security) said that from the afternoon of August 30, the unit organized many patrol teams to handle violations on the expressways Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong, Trung Luong - My Thuan, My Thuan - Can Tho and the expressway intersections with national and provincial highways, to promptly handle arising incidents, prevent traffic jams and accidents from occurring.
