The final round of the writing contest on "Green Building Vietnam 2023" begins

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Son Tung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Construction Newspaper reported an overview of the implementation of the contest and disseminated the awarding regulations. Accordingly, implementing the direction of the Minister of Construction, the Party Committee and the Editorial Board of Construction Newspaper held a meeting to deploy the work and establish the Organizing Committee of the writing contest on "Green Construction Vietnam 2023".

Construction Newspaper recognizes that this is an important contest, organized for the first time with the purpose of promoting and popularizing the great benefits of using green buildings (CTX) that save energy and are friendly to the environment. Construction Newspaper has coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association, sending an official dispatch to the branches, inter-branches, and press agencies to launch the contest.

After launching, the Newspaper received 108 entries from many authors, most of which were in accordance with the contest rules. Many entries clearly demonstrated initiatives and experiences in applying green technology and green products to life. The preliminary jury met and selected 27 excellent entries to judge the final round.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Son Tung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Construction Newspaper also disseminated the contest regulations and final scoring criteria.

Evaluating the contest, Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Editor-in-Chief of Construction Newspaper, Chairman of the Judging Council said that through the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 27/108 works on CTX to continue judging the final round.

This is the first time Construction Newspaper has organized a program that has received great attention and support from the participants. This is also the effort of the Organizing Committee through each stage and phase of the program.

The 27 entries highlighted the image and importance of CTX in Vietnam; clarified the role of CTX in social life, in State management and met the set criteria.

Attending the meeting, representative of the Vietnam Journalists Association, journalist Tran Thai Son - Director of the Vietnam Journalists Association Electronic Information Portal, stated that issues of efficient energy use, climate change, CTX, green development strategy, etc. are issues that the press is interested in.

The Vietnam Journalists Association is also coordinating with other agencies such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize the Press Award for promoting the use of energy economically and efficiently.

The Vietnam Journalists Association highly appreciated the Construction Newspaper's writing contest on CTX, which, although organized for the first time, was very meaningful. Although the time of organization was short, the Organizing Committee received more than 100 quality entries, many of which were excellent and entered the final round.

The Vietnam Journalists Association proposed that the Construction Newspaper continue to maintain and expand the contest to promote and disseminate CTX, green projects, green development strategies of the Ministry, the industry and the Government. After discussion, the Jury conducted the final round of judging the works to select the best works.

The award ceremony will take place during the plenary session of Vietnam Green Building Week 2023, organized by the Ministry of Construction, in Ho Chi Minh City on September 28, 2023.
