The community bridge in Lien Tan village (Thuong Loc commune, Can Loc, Ha Tinh) after nearly 50 years of use has seriously degraded, posing a high risk of safety for traffic participants.
Clip: Ong Kien Bridge is degraded, people are worried when traveling
According to the people of Lien Tan village, this bridge is also known as Ong Kien bridge, built in 1976. The bridge serves the transportation and production of the village's 70-hectare rice field, so the traffic of people and vehicles is very large. However, after 47 years of use, the bridge has seriously degraded.
According to observations, the bridge is about 20m long, 2m wide, 3-4m high and has no railings. The narrow bridge makes people always feel insecure. In addition, large vehicles and machinery serving agricultural production cannot pass through the bridge, forcing people to take a detour, which takes a lot of time.
To meet travel needs, local people have reinforced and repaired in a patchwork, makeshift manner.
As a result, large cracks appeared, many parts of concrete peeled off, revealing rusted steel.
Every day, hundreds of people still cross the bridge in a state of anxiety. According to local residents, many people, vehicles and livestock have fallen into the river while crossing the bridge.
Voters of Lien Tan village have repeatedly petitioned higher authorities on this issue but there has been no solution yet. We hope that the relevant agencies and departments will pay attention and create favorable conditions for the people to have a new bridge, making travel safer and better serving crop production.
