American newspaper CNN praises Michelin restaurant in Vietnam

For foodies, few places offer fine dining more than Michelin-starred restaurants in the world's finest hotels and resorts.

Michelin launched its first guide in Vietnam in June and it created an immediate buzz. Only four restaurants have been awarded the coveted star, including Hibana by Koki at the luxury Capella Hanoi hotel. Chef Hiroshi Yamaguchi is a master of teppanyaki, a cooking technique performed on a teppan (metal griddle). Every ingredient in Japanese cuisine is available here, including vegetables, seafood, meat and more, all with clear certification of origin and the best ingredients. Diners at Hibana by Koki will enjoy dishes including perfectly cooked Hokkaido crab, spiny lobster and Yaeyama Kyori beef. After dinner, head to the quirky, art history-inspired room designed by renowned designer Bill Bensley. The 1-Michelin-star Hibana by Koki restaurant is located in the basement of the Capella Hanoi boutique hotel, a short distance from Hoan Kiem Lake and the Hanoi Opera House, and is known as a trendy destination for Hanoi's culinary connoisseurs. This is the first high-end restaurant in the capital to bring the art of Japanese Teppanyaki cuisine to diners, led by Chef Yamaguchi and Chef Consultant Yoshida Junichi - the world's first Michelin-starred chef in the art of Teppanyaki.
