Dong Thap recognizes 105 community tourism spots

Accordingly, the province has 105 community tourism spots and 46 planned community tourism development spots.

Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Center for Trade, Tourism and Investment Promotion and the People's Committees of districts and cities to implement according to current regulations.

According to the report of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, in the first quarter of 2025, the province's tourism industry recovered and grew positively; many activities took place vigorously towards improving the quality of tourism associated with building and promoting the local image. Areas, locations, businesses providing tourism services, and accommodation establishments have proactively developed plans to serve tourists. Many new tourism products were launched such as: Pink House, Sa Dec Ornamental Flower Tourist Area (Bonsai Museum), Mien Tay Lodge, Duyen Nhut Tourist Spot (Sa Dec Flower Paradise), Tan Thuan Tay Cultural - Night Space (Cao Lanh City), Xom Ray Market (Cao Lanh District), Tham Tinh Eco-tourism Tourist Spot (Cao Lanh District), agricultural tourism experience model in Go Thap (Thap Muoi)...

In the first quarter of 2025, Dong Thap province welcomed about 1.62 million tourists, an increase of 40.87% over the same period, reaching 32.4% of the yearly plan (including 12,000 international visitors); tourism revenue reached 900 billion VND, an increase of 87.5% over the same period, reaching 42.86% of the yearly plan. The occupancy rate of accommodation facilities in the province is estimated at about 70%.
