Young man discovers Con Dao in its most beautiful season with only 3.3 million VND

Recently, Mr. Pham Trong Nghia (34 years old, freelance photographer, living in Ho Chi Minh City) had a journey to explore Con Dao for 4 days and 3 nights. The images he recorded made many netizens comment that "I want to immediately pack my backpack and go".

Mr. Nghia said that this trip took place from March 12-15, with a total cost of 3.3 million VND (including train tickets, accommodation, transportation on the island and food).

Con Dao has favorable weather, blue sea, yellow sunshine

The male tourist chose to take a speedboat from Tran De port (Soc Trang) to Con Dao at a cost of nearly 900,000 VND (round trip), travel time is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

"This is a much more economical option than flying, but tourists must carefully research weather information. If it's windy, they can easily get seasick," said Mr. Nghia.

In Con Dao, he rented a mid-range hotel (350,000 VND/day) and explored everywhere by motorbike with a rental price of 150,000 VND/day.

The wild scenery of this island district takes the male tourist from one surprise to another.

Beautiful, tree-lined roads on the island

The first day he arrived at the island, he rested and swam in the sea.

On the second day , the male tourist planned to explore Dam Trau beach and Bi Mat beach (also known as small Dam Trau beach, located next to Dam Trau beach) to sightsee and check-in when the plane landed.

In the afternoon, he went to Nhat beach to take pictures of the beautiful coastal road, then went to Bus Con Dao cafe to watch the sunset. In the evening, he visited Hang Duong cemetery - the most famous spiritual tourist destination in Con Dao.

Dam Trau Beach and Small Dam Tran both have wild beauty.

Dam Trau Beach is a beautiful, pristine beach with long stretches of fine golden sand and lush green trees, about 14km north of the center of Con Son Island. In 2021, this place was announced by the travel website Travel + Leisure as one of the 25 most beautiful beaches in the world (ranked 18th).

The beach is located right next to the runway of Co Ong airport (the official name of Con Dao airport). Therefore, visitors standing on the beach can clearly see the plane gradually getting bigger, flying right above their heads.

Checking in with the plane is an attractive experience for tourists when coming to Con Dao.

Nhat Beach is located on Ben Dam Street, about 7km from Con Son Town, the center of Con Dao District. It has a long, smooth white sand beach and lush green grass along the road. Visitors can spend about 5 minutes climbing up to see the impressive road hugging the foot of the mountain.

On the third day , Mr. Nghia returned to Nhat beach to take pictures of the "Dai Ly trend" (should go in the morning because the afternoon is often against the sun, making it difficult to take pictures -nv), then went to the lighthouse, Tau Be cape, climbed Con Voi mountain to see the whole view of Con Dao.

Mui Tau Be is located on the only road from the airport to town, surrounded by vertical rocks forming an arc embracing the sea. This is an adventurous "virtual life" photography spot, and is considered the most beautiful place to watch the sunrise in Con Dao.

Climbing Con Voi Mountain is a memorable experience for male tourists when they can admire the wild and majestic beauty of Con Dao.

On the morning of his last day on the island, Mr. Nghia went to the abandoned shipyard. "You should come here before 10am because the sea level rises after that," said the male tourist.

The stranded ship lies near Ben Dam, its rusty hull creating a very impressive photo backdrop.

According to the male tourist, his schedule is suitable for young people who love to explore.

In addition to the beautiful scenery, Mr. Nghia was also impressed with the islanders for their friendliness and hospitality. The male tourist noted that Con Dao is still wild, and monkeys here often come down to the streets to beg for food.

"Visitors here can enjoy crab noodle soup, fish noodle soup, coconut ice cream, and night market seafood. My food expenses for 4 days and 3 nights were about 1 million VND. If you combine spiritual tourism and sightseeing, Con Dao is truly a 'go 1, get 2' destination," said Mr. Nghia.
