The end-of-year rains create stunningly beautiful scenery in the deep forests, making them even more attractive to young people who participate in trekking.
Feel peaceful, improve health
After the exam, Ho Tan Thuc (student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics) said he felt pressured and somewhat lost. Not allowing himself to live in negative emotions, Thuc decided to register for a trek to Bu Gia Map National Park (Binh Phuoc).
“The 9km forest trail is not easy, sometimes my legs are tired and I am almost exhausted. However, I take advantage of the rare moments to breathe fresh air. I feel so small in the middle of nature, so the sad things are no longer so heavy,” Thuc laughed.
For sports enthusiasts like Nguyen Truc (living in Dong Nai), trekking in the forest is a form of exercise and health improvement.
He said, running in the forest with many complex terrains gives him a feeling of excitement, also to get used to it so he can participate in the upcoming trail running competition.
He said that the demand for trekking seems to be increasing, so every week there are buses taking tourists from Ho Chi Minh City to go mountain climbing.
Meanwhile, Yen Yen (24 years old, living in Hanoi) recently chose trekking because she loves nature. Yen said that admiring the majestic scenery of nature is also a happiness.
Some of you said you are looking for trekking trips to Ta Xua forest (Son La) at the end of the year. With high humidity and little sunlight, moss, ferns, wild grasses... create a mysterious scene.
Not to mention, each trip not only temporarily relieves anxiety, many young people also have many impressive photos, sometimes used for virtual life for a whole year when returning.

Thanks to trekking, we can connect and get away from social networks
Trekking is becoming the choice of many people instead of parties or long gaming sessions to relieve the pressure of work and study. Feeling suffocated with his programming job, Pham Dai Luong founded Itrek with the goal of finding and promoting connections.

After connecting with national parks and local authorities, Itrek Company started organizing trips. Each group has about 17 people to ensure management and protection.
“The experience of walking in the forest helps people connect with each other and with nature without social networks,” Mr. Luong shared.
The price of each trip like that is about 2.5 million VND including food, transportation, camping, not too high for young people to decide to "spend money".
However, this form of tourism also depends a lot on the weather, and you must be passionate about the experience and have a stable income to participate.
"I see that recently many companies have chosen this method for their employees to travel, to relax and bond with each other," Mr. Luong added.
Nature soothes the mind
According to the World Health Organization, spending time in nature improves mood, thinking and mental health.
Patricia Hasbach, a psychotherapist and ecologist in Eugene, explains that people feel “at home” when they are immersed in nature because it fosters a sense that we are part of something larger than ourselves.
According to Environmental Science & Technology (2015), exposure to nature can also reduce cortisol (stress hormone) in the body because nature helps us to divert our focus away from negative thoughts, allowing the body to relax and recover.
Additionally, according to the journal Nature, spending time in natural environments can promote the release of dopamine (a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and satisfaction) .
