Over the past years, the Provincial Police have actively acted as a "bridge" to call on charitable organizations to build 11 schools in highland border villages with a total budget of more than 4.5 billion VND. During the volunteer journey, the Provincial Police learned that Rao Con village is a village with 100% Bru-Van Kieu ethnic people with 60 households, 280 people, 100% poor households, and no electricity grid system. To go from the town center to Rao Con village is about 20km of mountainous road.
Here, there is a school in Rao Con village and some classrooms borrowed by Phong Nha Secondary School for teaching. There are 10 teachers from Phong Nha Primary School No. 2 and Phong Nha Secondary School staying at the school but there is no separate room for teachers, so they have to makeshift in the students' classrooms.
The provincial police have actively mobilized socialized funds from agencies and units to coordinate in the construction of a dormitory for teachers. The project consists of 3 rooms with a total area of 80m3 , with a total construction cost of 400 million VND. At the ceremony, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board presented a set of living furniture for the dormitory worth 20 million VND.
The joint efforts of agencies, units and enterprises have spread compassion, solidarity and sharing to improve the quality of teaching and learning, raise the intellectual level of the people; at the same time, strengthen the relationship between the army and the people, further promote the movement of all people to protect national security, contributing to ensuring security and order in the area.
