Handing over relics and memorabilia of martyrs to their families

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Department of Social Policy (General Department of Politics) has coordinated with the Provincial Military Command to organize the handover of relics and memorabilia to relatives of martyrs and soldiers who went to B.

The relics and mementos of the martyrs handed over to their relatives include: death notices, notebooks without notes, study documents, memorial photos, funeral photos, and burial photos of the martyrs: Nguyen Ba Ngan (born in 1924), enlisted in 1950, died in December 1954 and Nguyen Sap (born in 1925), enlisted in 1952, died in September 1954.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Head of the Army Rear Department (Department of Social Policy) said that in the conditions of prolonged war, the relics and memorabilia of martyrs and soldiers who went to B and handed over to their relatives today were sometimes lost or kept in the storage warehouses of the units. In the past time, with responsibility and affection, the Department of Social Policy and agencies and units in the whole army have coordinated with agencies, departments and localities of the provinces to verify information with the desire to bring the relics of martyrs back to their families and relatives; thereby expressing the gratitude of today's generations to those who have contributed to the revolution.

On this occasion, the delegation of the Department of Social Policy and the Provincial Military Command presented gifts to the relatives of 2 martyrs and 6 representatives of outstanding meritorious people in Phu Yen.
