Behavioral culture is the core that connects all family members and all the quintessence of the nation's behavioral cultural traditions also come from this source.
For Vietnamese people, family relationships are one of the most important relationships. The relationship between family members is where traditions are maintained and cultural values are passed on. It creates the foundation for social order and stability and the formation of human personality. The Vietnamese family with all its internal relationships is changing in the renovation period, both inheriting traditions and moving towards building modern families. Therefore, building a disciplined, cultured family, building a "family of exemplary grandparents and parents, filial children and grandchildren" plays an extremely important role in building a new person.
Educating Ho Chi Minh's cultural behavior in the family is necessary in the current conditions. If it can be done, it will have the effect of bringing to every member of the family in particular and spreading to the whole society a belief, a correct perception of social relations, avoiding the wrong manifestations caused by the negative side of the market mechanism.
Uncle Ho believed that family education should not only be limited to individual families but should be expanded to include villages and the whole society, and should also care for the children of other families in the big family of our nation. In the new sense, the family is broader and better.
Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings on the importance of family and family education, on June 28, 2000, the Central Party Secretariat issued Directive No. 55-CT/TW on strengthening the leadership of grassroots Party committees in the work of protecting, caring for and educating children. The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 72/2001/QD-TTg, choosing June 28 every year as Vietnam Family Day, to promote the responsibility of leaders of sectors, levels, unions and social organizations, and all families to regularly pay attention to building prosperous, equal, progressive and happy families, promoting the work of protecting, caring for and educating children, promoting the role of families and family education, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Vietnamese Family Day is an important milestone for Vietnamese people to turn to their roots and loved ones, thereby nurturing beautiful feelings and noble cultural values of the nation. No matter where they go or what they do, family is still a place to remember, to love and to return to.
In the current context, many traditional values of Vietnamese families are fading, causing many Vietnamese families to be at risk of falling into crisis, and the social foundation is not solid. Therefore, Vietnamese Family Day is becoming a healthy community cultural activity, educating and encouraging people to express love and responsibility for their family, while at the same time showing responsibility for the future of the nation.
