Silver prices posted a strong gain in the last trading session. Last week, the market saw assets fall sharply in several consecutive trading sessions following the announcement of US tariffs on April 2. However, the market rebounded after these tariffs were suspended for 90 days, except for China, according to Ernest Hoffman, market analyst at Kitco News.

Precious metals prices saw a sharp move following Donald Trump’s surprise announcement, said Ernest Hoffman. “Silver doubled its daily gain within minutes of the announcement, with spot silver prices surpassing $31 an ounce,” he said.
