Ready for Southeast Family Day

There are only a few days left until the 13th Southeast Family Festival in 2024 in Binh Thuan. Currently, all preparations for the festival have been completed and the families in the province selected to participate are also enthusiastically practicing to bring attractive and quality competitions.

Practice hard

At nearly 9am, the sun had penetrated through the trees, making the sports field of the Provincial Children's House hot, but the family members of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hai and Ms. Huynh Thao Ngan were still practicing exercises on the field. Ms. Ngan and her son Hai Phong skillfully handled the burlap and moved faster. As for her daughter Ngan Ha, after being instructed and encouraged by her father, she also kicked the ball very decisively and accurately into the goal. After nearly 1 hour of practice, the members were all tired but still had bright smiles on their faces and were full of energy.

Ms. Huynh Thao Ngan shared: Both husband and wife are civil servants, so they only have time to go to the field to practice on weekends. True to the name of the game "Solidarity to overcome difficulties and put the ball into the goal", it requires not only good health and agility, but also dexterity and coordination between members. This is definitely a memorable experience, marking beautiful and unforgettable memories for the participating families.

In addition, preparing for the cultural - artistic and sports competition, the Binh Thuan delegation also has the family of Mr. Thong Minh Quy - Ms. Thong Thi De (Thuan Minh commune, Ham Thuan Bac district) competing in the art performance "Talented family" and the family of Mr. Tang Khanh Huy - Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hai (Phu Thuy ward, Phan Thiet city) competing in the "Reading books with children" competition. Currently, the families are enthusiastically practicing singing, rehearsing plays, building scenes... with the hope of contributing the most outstanding performances to the competition. At the same time, they hope to convey the message of loving connection and sharing among members to overcome joys and sorrows in life, as well as prevent domestic violence, gender equality, protect children's rights, and promote reading culture in the family.

Binh Thuan is ready to welcome families

The 13th Southeast Family Festival took place from July 11 to 13 at the Children's House of Binh Thuan province, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province. The 2024 festival has the theme "Happy Family - Prosperous Nation", bringing together 18 typical cultural families from 6 provinces: Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh and Binh Thuan. This is an annual activity of the Southeast provinces. However, this year, it has been raised to the ministerial level, aiming to honor, preserve and promote the good traditional cultural values of Vietnamese families in general and families in the region. At the same time, it is an opportunity for families to exchange and share experiences in building cultural families.

The festival has 4 main activities: opening, closing, cultural and artistic competitions, sports and other activities. In addition, Binh Thuan province will arrange more booths to display OCOP products of participating localities, visit historical and cultural relics, and entertainment in the province.

Mr. Vo Thanh Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan said: The Department is being assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to coordinate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University to develop the project "Binh Thuan cultural, family and human standards associated with the system of cultural, family and human values of Vietnam in the new period". Through the festival, it contributes to clarifying and affirming the family values: Prosperity, progress, happiness, civilization that the project is implementing.

Up to this point, preparations for facilities, equipment, security, environmental sanitation, and landscape arrangement at the festival venue in Binh Thuan have been basically completed, ready to welcome families, delegates, and people to participate and cheer. From here, the image of the people and land of Binh Thuan will be known to more tourists.
