Bac Giang: Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in the first quarter increased by more than 10%

Specifically, total retail sales of goods and service revenue in March alone is estimated at more than VND5.9 trillion, up 3.2% over the previous month and up 13.1% over the same period last year.

Of which, total retail sales of goods in March are estimated at over VND4.2 trillion, up 2.3% over the previous month and up 11.8% over the same period. Service revenue in March is estimated at over VND1.6 trillion, up 5.5% over the previous month and up 16.7% over the same period.

Cumulatively, total retail sales of goods and service revenue in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at more than 17.6 trillion VND, up 10.2% over the same period and estimated to reach 25.8% of the plan for the whole year.

The reason for the high increase in total retail sales of goods and service revenue in the first quarter of this year is due to the economic recovery, increasing demand for purchasing goods and using services.

To ensure supply, since the end of 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade has planned to coordinate with relevant sectors, manufacturing and supplying enterprises to reserve products for sale on the market. At the same time, coordinate with functional forces and district authorities to strengthen control and handle acts of trading in prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, fake goods, and poor quality goods.
