Three brothers volunteered to join the army.

On February 22, the People's Committee of Tam Thuan Ward (Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City) announced that in this year's military recruitment, three brothers in the ward volunteered to join the army and were selected.

These three brothers include Nguyen Khac Tu Hien Nhon, Nguyen Khac Tu Hien Nhan (both born in 2004) and Nguyen Khac Tu Hien Phuc (born in 2006). Of these, Nhan and Nhon are twins and Phuc is the youngest brother.

Sharing with VietNamNet, Hien Nhon said that the three brothers volunteered to join the army to fulfill their responsibility as young people, with the desire to contribute to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. At the same time, they strive to train well to have the opportunity to join the ranks of the Vietnam People's Army.

The day they heard the news of their admission, all three brothers were very happy, but also somewhat worried because their grandmother was old and had to live alone. Hien Nhon's family had difficult circumstances. All three Nhon brothers lived with their grandmother in a small house hidden deep in an alley on Dinh Tien Hoang Street. Their parents rented a house outside.

“When the three of us joined the military, only my grandmother was left in this house, so we were worried that she would have to live alone and her health would not be good. When she heard that my brother and I had all passed the military service, she encouraged us a lot and we completed all our tasks well, which was also a gift to make her feel more secure…”, Hien Nhon shared.

This young man added that he is a second-year student majoring in Information Technology at the Danang College of Economics and Planning, and Hien Phuc is also studying Information Technology at the Central V School of Transport. Both have decided to put their studies on hold and volunteer to join the army.

“Our family is poor, my brothers and I do not have enough money to pay tuition to reserve our major at school. During this military service, the three brothers promise to strive to complete all tasks, thereby having the opportunity to serve the army long-term,” Nhon confided.

It is known that the three Hien Nhon brothers were accepted into the 372nd Air Division (based in Da Nang). This is also an opportunity for all three to support each other when changing their living environment.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thi (80 years old, maternal grandmother) shared: “All three children have lived with me since they were young. When I learned that they all volunteered to join the army, I was surprised. Seeing that they have the spirit of dedication to the Fatherland, I am very happy and proud. I hope that the three brothers will work together to study and train well.”

Talking to VietNamNet reporter, Ms. Ho Dam Nhu Nga - Chairman of Tam Thuan Ward People's Committee said that in the locality, there are many young people who voluntarily apply to join the army, including women. But this is the first time a family has 3 brothers participating and is a rare case.

“If it were twins, it would be easy to meet them, but if it were three siblings at the same time, it would be very difficult. Besides, there is also a relative of the three siblings, so the family has four people at the same time.

The locality is very proud to have children and younger siblings who have demonstrated the spirit of youthful dedication, not afraid of difficulties or hardships," Ms. Nga shared.
