Speaking to Thanh Nien reporter, Mr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training), commented that although trial registration is not mandatory, this year the number of registrations is significantly higher than last year (in 2024, about 700,000 candidates registered for trial). This shows that students and schools are interested and have prepared carefully for the upcoming exam.

The trial registration process showed that candidates basically did not make any significant errors, and the new exam management system also operated smoothly and conveniently.

Mr. Chuong also noted: from April 21 to 5:00 p.m. on April 28, candidates officially register for the high school graduation exam on the exam management system of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Before filling out the registration form, candidates must carefully read the sections and instructions, review the information carefully, and ask the registration officer for full instructions on any unclear points. Candidates must be fully responsible for the information declared in their registration form.

Director Huynh Van Chuong emphasized that 12th grade candidates need to pay special attention when registering for elective exams. They must choose 2 subjects from the subjects they have chosen and have the results of their 12th grade studies; choose the right subjects according to their wishes for the high school graduation exam and university and college admissions. They cannot choose subjects that they did not study in 12th grade.

Once you have chosen and officially registered, you will not be able to change the exam subjects. Therefore, candidates must consider very carefully during the exam registration process.

Regarding foreign language certificates for university admission, Mr. Chuong said that the Ministry of Education and Training will have separate instructions for university admission. Students with foreign language certificates valid until June 25 can completely rest assured to follow these instructions to ensure their rights to university admission using their foreign language certificates.

Candidates' photos on the system must have a minimum resolution of 400 x 600 pixels, be taken in ID style and no more than 6 months before the application submission date.

During the process of registering for exams, preliminary registration, and university and college admissions, candidates must use a unified type of identification document: ID card, citizen identification card, personal identification, and passport number.

During the registration period, candidates wishing to apply for university and college admission must declare on the software complete and correct information with evidence to enjoy priority in university admission according to regulations and instructions.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Departments of Education and Training organize for candidates studying in grade 12 for the 2024-2025 school year to register for the exam online from April 21 to 5:00 p.m. on April 28; at the same time, review, check, and edit candidate information, and review candidates' reserved scores from April 28 to May 9.

No later than May 13, the units must print the list of candidates who have registered for the exam and hand over the exam registration form to the candidates. The units will then check and cross-check the candidate information no later than May 15.

From May 16 to May 20, candidates need to complete editing of information (if any).
