According to the iPhone manufacturing giant, the event is an annual programming playground for young programmers, still students, to show their creativity and programming ability, while providing them with practical skills that will effectively support their future careers.
New to this year's Swift Programming Event is the opportunity to honor 50 Distinguished Winners - students with outstanding products sent to the iPhone manufacturing giant, selected from 350 winners.
The competition prizes include a one-year membership to the Apple Developer Program, a free voucher to take the Swift App Development Certification exam, and a special gift from the organizers.
Meanwhile, the top 50 will receive an additional trip that Apple promises will be a “special” experience to the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.

The Swift Programming Event, hosted by Apple for the first time in 2020, is an opportunity to connect thousands of programmers around the world, allowing them to use their creativity to develop applications that solve real-world problems.
Apple encourages candidates with profound ideas that can solve complex problems in their communities and the world at large.
At the previous Swift Programming Competition, Thao Nguyen (19 years old), a Computer Science student at the University of South Florida (USA), was on the list of students who won the final prize. Thao Nguyen's entry was written in the Swift programming language on Apple's Playground application, titled "Welcome to Vietnam".
Candidates can now learn about the contest and submit their applications (deadline February 25) on Apple's official website.
