Exciting contest to learn about the history of the Party and cultural traditions of Quang Nam

The contest "Learning about the historical and cultural traditions of Quang Nam; the history of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee" on the internet is one of the activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the Homeland (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025). This is also an opportunity for cadres, party members, people, armed forces, especially the youth of Quang Nam to arouse pride in the revolutionary traditions of their homeland.

Through the contest, we aim to honor the great achievements that the Party Committee, army and people of Quang Nam have achieved during the 95 years under the leadership of the Party, especially the achievements after 50 years of liberating the homeland. From there, we contribute to raising awareness, affirming faith in the Party's leadership, arousing patriotism, the will to overcome difficulties and the desire to rise up among the people.

This is also an opportunity for the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people to firmly consolidate the Party's ideological foundation, fight against the wrong arguments of hostile forces, and create momentum to bring Quang Nam and the whole country firmly into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

With that meaning, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department (now the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department) - the Standing agency of the Organizing Committee of the contest has focused on propagating and posting related content on the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee's Electronic Information Portal and through the press to attract the response of all classes of people.

After more than a month of implementation, the contest went through 4 weekly rounds with the active participation of units and localities such as Dien Ban, Dai Loc, Que Son, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training, Department of Information and Communications (before merging to establish the Department of Science and Technology), Provincial Youth Union...

Many good ways from the grassroots

Mr. Hoang Van Thanh - Acting Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, member of the contest's organizing committee, said that Quang Nam youth responded to the contest to celebrate major events of the province, contributing to improving historical and cultural knowledge, and spreading patriotism.

Accordingly, the Provincial Youth Union has directed all levels of the Youth Union to promote propaganda on online platforms. The Provincial Youth Union's Propaganda Department also designed visual propaganda publications to send to the grassroots Youth Union for synchronous implementation. The Provincial Youth Union also directed units to organize simultaneous competitions and joint competitions for Youth Union members and youth, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the province.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet - expert of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Dai Loc District Party Committee shared the unit's working method: "Every week after the Provincial Contest Organizing Committee announces the questions, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the District Party Committee collects news and articles related to the content of each question, posts them on Truong An Facebook page and shares them on the Facebook pages of agencies and units.

Through this, cadres and party members read and research more about the event, and at the same time choose the most accurate answer. Through 4 weekly exams, Dai Loc is the unit with the second highest number of registered accounts, after Dien Ban, with 28,394 accounts participating in the exam and is also one of the localities with the highest number of prizes, with 8 prizes of all kinds.

Huynh Ngoc Hue High School (Dai Loc) is also one of the units participating in the exciting competition. "After completing the test, each student reports to the homeroom teacher to summarize the number of participating students and select 3 students with the correct and fastest answers to send to the Team Leader. Every week, the school will select 3 students and 1 group with the best achievements to commend and reward before the flag" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice Principal of the school shared. It is known that after 4 weekly competitions, Huynh Ngoc Hue High School has 1 teacher and 1 student winning the consolation prize.

At the end of the contest (with 4 contests), there were a total of 232,772 accounts registered to take the contest, an average of more than 58,000 accounts registered to take the contest/week. Many localities had a high number of accounts participating in all 4 contests such as: Dien Ban town (total of 4 contests is 43,325 accounts), Dai Loc district (28,394), Duy Xuyen (22,170), Tien Phuoc (18,224), Que Son (17,752)...

The Organizing Committee of the contest held a meeting to consider awarding certificates to 44 individuals who won prizes, including 4 First prizes; 8 Second prizes; 12 Third prizes; 20 Encouragement prizes. At the same time, certificates of merit were awarded to 11 groups with achievements in promoting and mobilizing the largest number of participants and having many individual prizes in 4 competitions.

The Organizing Committee said that the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the contest will be held on the occasion of the opening of the Exhibition, displaying achievements in socio-economics, national defense and security, introducing typical products, OCOP products..., taking place on the morning of March 21 at the Quang Nam Provincial Cultural Center, No. 8 Tran Hung Dao, Tam Ky City.
