(Dan Tri) - American tennis legend Andre Agassi appeared in Ho Chi Minh City this afternoon (March 26), but this time he came as a Pickleball player.
Andre Agassi is one of the greatest tennis players in history. During his illustrious career, the American won a total of eight Grand Slam titles (four Australian Opens, one Roland Garros, one Wimbledon and two US Opens).

In addition, Agassi won the gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics (USA). That means long before Novak Djokovic (Serbia) won all the most prestigious titles in tennis, Andre Agassi had everything an athlete in this sport could dream of.
In recent years, Agassi has switched to playing Pickleball. This afternoon (March 26), the American tennis legend appeared in Ho Chi Minh City, participating in the "2025 Pickleball Legends Tour" (a Pickleball tournament for legends).
In front of the Vietnamese media, Andre Agassi shared: "I know that the level of admiration of Vietnamese people for Pickleball is very large. Your potential in this sport is also extremely large."

"During my peak tennis career, I have been to many places and many countries. However, this is the first time I have come to Vietnam. I regret not being able to come to Vietnam sooner," said the 54-year-old athlete.
As a tennis player who later switched to Pickleball, the two sports have similarities and differences. Andre Agassi shares the secret to success in any sport that athletes participate in: "To improve in this sport, you need to pay a lot of attention to it, practice and compete wherever possible."
"For Pickleball to develop, it is necessary to create many quality courts for people to practice, develop their abilities and exchange more skills. The courts will also help people meet more experienced players, to share knowledge with each other.

I am very happy to be in Vietnam to share experiences and exchange techniques, so that people can better understand this sport in Vietnam," Andre Agassi emphasized.
Joining Agassi on the tour this time is world number one Pickleball player Ben Joins. This player shared: "I started playing Pickleball in 2016. I am very impressed by the increasing number of people participating in this sport all over the world."
"Vietnam is one of the countries with many people participating in Pickleball. I hope this sport will develop more here," Ben Joins added.
