ZAWYA. Cambodia and the UAE signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, expected to more than double bilateral non-oil trade from $407 million in 2022 to $1 billion within five years.

FRANCE24. The suspect who carried out the knife attack on June 8 in the town of Annecy, located in the Alps, southeastern France, told police that he was a Syrian seeking asylum in the country.

GUARDIAN. Britain has announced a new package of sanctions against Belarus over its support for Russia's military campaign in Ukraine, including an import ban and new measures to block online propaganda.
AFP. The Swiss lower house of parliament has rejected a proposal to provide 5 billion Swiss francs ($5.5 billion) to Ukraine over the next five to 10 years, according to newly announced voting results.
SWISS INFO. Swiss House of Representatives President Martin Candinas said the parliament's website was the target of a cyber attack, paralyzing access.
AP. Romania's Foreign Ministry announced that Russia must cut 51 positions at its embassy in Bucharest, corresponding to the size of the Romanian embassy staff in Moscow.
EUTERS. Over the past month, Croatian authorities have seized 745 kg of cocaine hidden in containers at the port of Rijeka, on the northern Adriatic Sea; this is the largest amount of drugs seized in the country to date.
CNN. The World Health Organization (WHO) is rapidly delivering much-needed medical supplies to flooded areas in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine following the collapse of the Kakhovka dam.

EURO NEWS. EU countries have offered to send nearly 300 firefighters to help Canada deal with a series of serious wildfires that have broken out at the same time.

CNBC. US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who are visiting Washington DC, agreed to strengthen close bilateral economic ties, pledging to accelerate the clean energy transition and strengthen critical minerals supply chains.
CNN. The US will provide more than $100 million in aid to the Caribbean to combat arms trafficking, help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Haiti and support initiatives to respond to climate change, according to Vice President Kamala Harris.

REUTERS. A series of schools and educational facilities in the city of Tizayuca, Hidalgo state, Mexico had to close and switch to online learning due to escalating violence in the locality.

HAARETZ. During his visit to Morocco, Israeli Parliament Speaker Amir Ohana called for strengthening ties in the fields of agriculture, tourism, security, water conservation and desalination technology.

AP. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced the suspension of food aid to Ethiopia because its donations were not reaching those in need.
WHO. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared an end to the Marburg virus outbreak in Equatorial Guinea, after recording no new cases for 42 days.
UN. The humanitarian aid plan for Sudan has raised just over $400 million , or less than 16 percent of the $2.6 billion needed for aid this year, according to a spokesman for the UN secretary-general.
FOX NEWS. The Senegalese government has announced the opening of judicial investigations to determine who is responsible for clashes that left at least 16 people dead and hundreds injured, while hundreds were arrested.
Oceania
Australia has threatened to abandon a major free trade deal with the EU unless its producers are allowed to use labels such as "feta" and "prosciutto", AFP reports.
BLOOMBERG. Commonwealth Bank - Australia's largest bank will block some payments to certain cryptocurrency exchanges in a bid to prevent potential fraud in the market.
