The event took place in the presence of General Secretary and President To Lam and senior leaders of Vietnam and France. The newly delivered A321neo is the 80th aircraft in Vietjet’s order of more than 206 aircraft with manufacturer Airbus. The aircraft has a special design, printed with the image symbolizing 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France.
Vietjet's A321neo aircraft has a modern design and new generation engines, capable of reducing fuel consumption by 20% and noise by up to 50% compared to previous aircraft models. The new A321neo aircraft will join Vietjet's fleet of more than 100 world-class modern aircraft, operating on routes covering Vietnam and internationally to destinations in India, China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, ... and meeting the travel needs of people and tourists during the peak holiday season at the end of the year.
To date, Vietjet has ordered a total of 206 aircraft from Airbus. To date, the parties have completed and delivered 80 aircraft. Following the new aircraft just delivered, Airbus will continue to deliver more new aircraft from now until the end of 2024 to Vietjet, demonstrating its commitment to meeting all passenger needs, expanding its flight network, developing sustainably, and promoting cultural, economic, and tourism exchanges between countries and peoples around the world.

In 2018, Vietjet also received the handover of an A321 aircraft bearing the symbol of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France, witnessed by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during the official visit and working session with the French Republic by a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation.
The cooperation between Vietjet and French partners and Airbus Group has also contributed to balancing the trade balance between Vietnam and France in particular and the European Union in general, contributing to bringing more jobs to the European Union and flight opportunities for people, promoting the development of aviation and tourism in the journey to form an international aviation center in Vietnam.

The new A321neo aircraft delivered today is an important contribution to Vietjet's fleet expansion plan, in addition to the order for 20 A330neo aircraft signed at the recent Farnborough Airshow."
