On the occasion of its 37th anniversary, Agribank has just launched the “Green Transaction Point” program. From the space connecting experiences...

Agribank’s “Green Transaction Points” are not simply places to provide financial services. These are open, nature-friendly spaces where customers can experience the harmonious combination of financial services, modern technology and the environment. Green trees, recycled materials, natural light and digital banking instruction screens not only bring a sense of comfort but also contribute to educating green awareness in a natural and effective way not only for Agribank staff but also for customers.

The "Green Transaction Point" model is being deployed at many branches.

To replicate the value of the model and spread the spirit of sustainable development, Agribank chose Agribank Cultural Week 2025 as a highlight to connect actions, communications and program experiences throughout the system.

Within the framework of the Week, a series of activities to introduce “Green Bank - Digital Transformation Journey” through displaying green transaction point models, introducing Agribank’s advanced technology and service initiatives were actively implemented. Many branches proactively organized activities in response such as “Paperless Day”, “Green Working Corner”, “Digitalization with Customers”, creating a wave of spreading green cultural values associated with daily work practices.

Notably, Agribank does not consider “Green Transaction Point” as a short-term movement but as the foundation for a long-term development strategy, aiming to build a sustainable banking ecosystem - where technology and people create value together.

To the pillar for “Green Bank”

Agribank's "green transaction point" is where technology is integrated throughout, from transaction processes, file processing to customer care. Agribank promotes the deployment of digital platforms and e-banking solutions to shorten transaction times, limit physical contact and minimize the use of paperwork. Here, customers are enthusiastically advised to switch to using digital services such as Agribank Plus, online money transfers, and online savings instead of transactions at the counter. Customers can also perform almost all financial services - from opening accounts, transferring money, making payments to saving anytime, anywhere. This not only helps reduce the load on the system but is also a practical solution to save social resources, while increasing customers' initiative in managing their personal finances.

Agribank staff are guiding customers to experience Agribank's digital services.

In addition to improving user experience, digital platforms also contribute to cutting operating costs, reducing resource consumption and minimizing emissions. At many transaction points, Agribank deploys automated transaction counters (CDM/multi-function ATM), allowing customers to self-serve quickly and effectively. At the same time, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data in analyzing customer behavior and automating the approval process helps optimize resources and reduce energy consumption.

The transition from printed documents to digital storage systems, limiting the use of ink and outdated office equipment, and replacing them with solar energy and energy-saving LED lights at some branches are practical steps that help Agribank move closer to its goal of carbon neutrality and paperless banking.

And breakthrough from internal strength

If technology is the means, people are the center of transformation. Realizing that, Agribank determined that the success of green banking does not only lie in infrastructure or equipment but also starts from corporate culture - where each officer and employee is an active agent in the innovation journey.

Every Agribank officer seriously implements and deploys the goal of Digital Banking and Green Banking for the community.

Imbued with the “Green” spirit, Agribank launched the “Green Living - Green Working” movement throughout the system. Specific actions are encouraged such as turning off electrical equipment when not in use; Taking advantage of natural light; Using recycled paper; Limiting printing, prioritizing electronic documents; Replacing disposable plastic bottles with glass bottles or personal cups; Decorating the workspace with green plants, recycled materials... have not only created a friendly and clean working environment, these small changes also contribute to the formation of a “green” ecosystem, clearly demonstrating the sense of responsibility of each Agribank officer towards the environment and the community.

It can be seen that Agribank's "Green Transaction Point" is a strategic move, converging three core elements: modern technology, innovative culture and social responsibility. Each transaction point is deployed not only to serve customers better but also to inspire green lifestyle, smart banking and sustainable development. With a long-term vision, innovative thinking and determination from leaders to each staff, Agribank is gradually affirming its role as a pioneering state-owned commercial bank in building green and modern finance, continuing to commit to a sustainable future not only for Agribank but also for the community.
