In the first 9 months of this year, Techcombank reduced its salary fund by more than 100 billion VND compared to the same period, but the average monthly income of Techcombank employees increased by 1 million VND compared to the same period last year and the first 6 months of this year.
Specifically, the average income of Techcombank employees is 45 million VND/person/month, of which the average salary is 38 million VND/month, the remaining 7 million VND is other income.
Next is MB Bank with an average income of 39.83 million VND/person/month in the first 9 months of this year, Vietcombank with an average income of 37.5 million VND/person/month, TPBank with 36.5 million VND/month, VietinBank with 33.5 million VND/month.
Also in the group of banks with high income is VIB with 32.24 million VND/month, an increase of more than 2 million VND/month compared to the average income of the first 9 months of 2022.
At BIDV, the average income is 32 million VND/month, an increase of 4 million VND/month compared to the same period last year. It is known that in the first 9 months of the year, BIDV also spent 1,000 billion VND more than the same period last year on salaries and allowances for employees, up to 7,500 billion VND.
VPBank also increased from 29 million VND/month to 32 million VND/month. Of which, the average salary alone is 31 million VND/month. This bank also spent more than 3,600 billion VND to pay salaries and bonuses to employees in the first 9 months of the year. This figure increased sharply compared to the spending of 2,800 billion VND in the same period in 2022.
Some banks with average income under 30 million VND/month are NCB bank with 23.6 million VND/month, Sacombank with 29 million VND/month.
ACB Bank pays employees 13 million VND/month, unchanged compared to the first 6 months of the year.
SHB Bank alone, although its average employee expenditure is up to 45.95 million VND/month, because this bank does not separate salary and allowances like other banks, but combines them with salary-based expenses such as social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and other allowances, the calculation of average income is only relative.
According to reports from 27 listed banks, in the third quarter of 2023, 11 banks had profits increase compared to the same period last year. Topping the list is OCB with profits increasing by 49% compared to the same period last year. Next is KienlongBank with an increase of 37.7% compared to the same period last year, Sacombank increased by 36.1% compared to the same period last year.
The list of increased profits in the last quarter also includes Vietcombank, VietinBank, HDBank, MB, ACB, MSB, Saigonbank, LPBank with an increase of 0.6 - 19.6%.
