According to the financial report for the third quarter of 2024, the average income of each Techcombank employee is up to 48 million VND/month. With this figure, can Techcombank maintain its position as the bank with the best employee benefits in the system?
Techcombank's third quarter financial report shows that the average income of employees continues to increase. The average total income (salary, bonus, other allowances) of employees in the first 9 months of the year reached 48 million VND/person, an increase of 3 million VND compared to the same period last year.
Of which, the average employee salary is 41 million VND/person/month, 3 million VND/person/month higher than the same period in 2023.
Techcombank said that the total number of employees in the first 9 months of the year was 10,762 people (same period last year was 11,242 people). Techcombank spent more than 4,676 billion VND in the first 9 months of the year on salaries and allowances (same period last year was 4,535 billion VND).
Not many banks have yet announced their Q3 financial reports, but Techcombank is likely to continue to hold the top spot in employee income. This is the bank's familiar position since it "usurped" Vietcombank in the past few years.
According to VietNamNet's update at the end of the second quarter of 2024, Techcombank employees' income still ranked No. 1, with 53 million VND/person/month, an increase of 9 million VND over the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the three "chasing" banks behind are Vietcombank, HDBank and TPBank, all have an average employee income of more than 37 million VND/person/month. Thus, the gap between Techcombank and the following group is still quite large.
In addition to Techcombank, Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PGBank) also announced its third quarter financial report, revealing that average employee salaries and incomes increased compared to the same period last year.
In the first 9 months of this year, the average monthly salary of PGBank employees was 21 million VND/person, an increase of 3 million VND/person/month compared to the same period last year. The average monthly income was up to 24 million VND/person, an increase of 2 million VND compared to the same period in 2023.
PGBank currently has only 1,841 employees (1,723 in the same period last year). The bank's total salary fund in the past 9 months was 347 billion VND (276 billion VND in the same period last year).
At Kienlong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (KienlongBank), the income of employees has not changed compared to the same period last year, which is 20 million VND/person/month. This income level includes salary and bonus. However, the average salary has decreased by 1 million VND to 17 million VND/person/month in the past 9 months.
KienlongBank currently has 3,630 employees (3,459 people in the same period). The total expenditure on employee income of the bank in the first 3 quarters of this year was 648,318 billion VND (611 billion VND in the same period).
While most banks increased spending on employees, Loc Phat Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank (LPBank) reduced spending compared to the same period last year. According to the third quarter financial report, the average income per capita of LPBank employees in the first 9 months of the year was VND 22.25 million/person/month, a decrease of VND 1.85 million/person/month compared to the average level in 2023.
Of which, the average monthly salary of LPBank employees is 19.31 million VND, a decrease of 1.51 million VND compared to the average level in 2023.
The number of LPBank employees in the first 9 months of the year was 11,563 people (11,180 people in 2023). In the first 9 months of the year, LPBank spent up to 2,300 billion VND on salaries and allowances for employees, while in the whole year of 2023 it was 3,200 billion VND.
