On April 14, a globalization dialogue took place with the participation of speakers who are business leaders, economic experts from China and countries around the world and about 300 guests.
Here, speakers provided information on the economic picture of China and the Asian region; discussed cooperation between Vietnam and China, expanding the market between the two sides; provided information on the manufacturing industry and sharing between Chinese enterprises and enterprises in Vietnam; promoted innovation and technology in Vietnam...
This was followed by a dialogue session discussing topics such as supply chain integration; international trade flows in Asia; the roadmap towards clean energy; infrastructure investment in China...
At the forum, delegates discussed market connectivity and transportation between China and Vietnam. It was proposed to develop a freight railway between Vietnam and China. Some opinions said that Vietnam needs to build more railways connecting to industrial zones to facilitate freight transport and continue to attract investment in the manufacturing sector.
Delegates also discussed labor policies in Vietnam and workforce development when investing in production and business in Vietnam as well as the issue of how to retain workers in the current context.
According to delegates, when investing in Vietnam, it is necessary to understand more about the concept of "respecting the feelings" of Vietnamese workers.
Businesses believe that Vietnamese workers working in foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) have a certain affection for the business and the employer. This is shown during the recent COVID-19 pandemic, when many workers accepted the danger to stay at the business to participate in production and maintain the supply chain of goods.
