(Baoquangngai.vn) - Towards the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), the Department of Health organized the 26th Provincial Health Sector Traditional Sports Tournament - 2025.
On the morning of February 16, at Dien Hong Stadium (Quang Ngai City), the Department of Health held the Opening Ceremony of the 26th Provincial Health Sector Traditional Sports Tournament - 2025. Attending the opening ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Tran Dai Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Lien Phuong and 500 athletes from 28 units under the Department of Health.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Health Pham Minh Duc said that the traditional sports tournament of the provincial health sector is held annually on February 27th. This tournament continues to affirm the growth of the health sector's sports movement. The organizing committee believes that the tournament will promote the health sector's sports movement, the health training movement following the example of great Uncle Ho and contribute to the cause of better and better health care for the people.

At the 26th Provincial Health Sector Traditional Sports Tournament - 2025, athletes will compete in 7 sports, including: Men's football, women's football, men's volleyball, women's volleyball, mixed-gender sack race, mixed-gender tug of war, and Chinese chess.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the teams competed in the following events: Women's Soccer and Men's Volleyball. The tournament will take place from February 16 to February 20, 2025.
