4 years of digital financial ecosystem serving Vietnamese people
Looking back at the 4-year development journey of Viettel Digital Services Corporation, what are the most important milestones and achievements that you consider?
- Viettel Money is gradually becoming a comprehensive digital financial ecosystem in Vietnam with more than 300 personalized features from money transfer to payment to loan and savings services.
- Developing Mobile Money - a solution to solve problems of digital payment and digital finance for people in remote areas, border areas and islands.
- VDS has been working with many local governments to pioneer the construction of the 4.0 market model in 63 provinces and cities with 500 markets and more than 30,000 participating traders.
- Successfully piloted the Commune 4.0 project - Digital transformation commune with the goal of popularizing digital finance in Quang Minh commune, Bac Giang, recording positive results.

In any locality, the market is where people gather to buy and sell. That is where we can reach rural customers and promote cashless payments. With just a mobile phone, they can easily pay for the market by scanning the QR code or the syntax *998#.
The field that VDS is working in has many competitors in the race to "burn money" to increase the number of users. With Viettel Money, VDS must also face many difficulties?
For us, promotions or discounts are not the core value of retaining customers. We must bring real value to customers, otherwise, they come to us because of promotions, and when the promotion ends, they will leave.
Viettel deploys digital financial services in a sustainable manner, posing the problem of how to change customers' behavior, purchasing and payment habits. How can customers go from understanding to trusting in using utilities, making cashless payments, comprehensively changing habits and directly benefiting from the digital financial ecosystem? How to educate the market, how to make people understand the products and services, understand the benefits that Viettel Money brings and from there trust and maintain, forming the habit of using the service.

Why is 2023 the year to set a target of 1 year speed equal to 10 years ago?
This year is a very important pivotal year when we have matured in terms of technology, solutions, and business models. Therefore, if we focus our resources and work hard, we have the opportunity to move towards greater goals in the following years.

To achieve that goal, specifically in the coming time, what action plan will VDS have?
We will take advantage of Viettel's leading technology to continue developing products that bring the best experience to customers, expanding the construction of a comprehensive ecosystem in all fields, prioritizing essential basic services and developing a variety of financial solutions (loans, savings, etc.).
The Market 4.0 and Commune 4.0 models will continue to be replicated in many provinces and cities across the country. And finally, comprehensive development cooperation with many domestic and foreign partners will be enhanced, diversifying services.
Regarding VDS, I hope that all employees share the same spirit, the same goal, are emotionally connected, set big goals, fight together and break through. VDS also has some temporary difficulties and we have worked together to overcome them. According to market opportunities, we will be flexible to find the right model for development.
