15 principals in a district in Kon Tum were transferred.

(Dan Tri) - At the end of the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year, the People's Committee of Dak To district, Kon Tum province mobilized and appointed 15 principals of schools in the area.

On February 11, the People's Committee of Dak To district held a ceremony to hand over decisions to transfer and appoint 15 principals of kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in the area, right after the end of the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year.

Previously, the District People's Committee issued a plan to mobilize and rotate leaders and managers of affiliated schools. The rotated officials are principals and vice principals who have worked continuously for 5 years or more at a unit.

At the end of December 2024, after receiving consensus from the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the People's Committee of Dak To district decided to appoint and transfer 15 principals, including 4 kindergarten principals, 4 primary school principals and 7 secondary school principals.

This transfer decision has caused many mixed opinions. Some teachers said that the transfer when preparing to end the first semester is inappropriate, affecting the general activities of the schools, especially the monitoring of the work process and competition of teachers.

A representative of the Dak To District Department of Internal Affairs said that the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee requested that teachers not be rotated during the school year. However, this rotation only applies to management staff, so it does not affect teaching. The rotation was planned in advance and followed the correct procedures.

"The source of teachers is management staff who have worked in one unit for too long, so they are forced to rotate. According to regulations, the head of the unit cannot have more than 2 terms, and leaving it too long is not guaranteed," said a representative of the Dak To District Department of Internal Affairs.
