The Sharm El Sheikh World Cup is the final stage of the 3-cushion carom billiards World Cup in 2024, taking place from December 1 to 7 in Egypt. In this tournament, Vietnamese billiards has 11 players competing, including: Nguyen Hoan Tat, Nguyen Dinh Luan, Le Thanh Tien, Nguyen Chi Long, Thon Viet Hoang Minh, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu, Tran Duc Minh, Chiem Hong Thai, Bao Phuong Vinh, Tran Thanh Luc and Tran Quyet Chien.
Nguyen Dinh Luan and Nguyen Hoan Tat are the first two Vietnamese players to play in the first qualifying round from the afternoon of December 1. Dinh Luan will play at 4 p.m. against Badr Tabak. Meanwhile, Hoan Tat will play his first match at the 2024 Sharm el Sheikh World Cup at 7 p.m.

11 Vietnamese players compete at the 2024 Sharm el Sheikh World Cup
The first qualifying round of the 2024 Sharm el Sheikh World Cup has 48 players competing, divided equally into 16 groups. The players compete in a round-robin to calculate points and rank. The top player in each group will advance to the second qualifying round.
Le Thanh Tien, Nguyen Chi Long, and Thon Viet Hoang Minh will appear from the second qualifying round, on the afternoon of December 2. Meanwhile, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu will play from the third qualifying round, on the afternoon of December 3. The Vietnamese players scheduled to compete in the fourth (final) qualifying round, which will play from the afternoon of December 4, are Tran Duc Minh, Chiem Hong Thai, and Bao Phuong Vinh.
Tran Thanh Luc and Tran Quyet Chien are two Vietnamese players who are seeded (ranked in the top 14 in the world rankings) and are given a special right to compete from the main round (32 players) of the 2024 Sharm el Sheikh World Cup. It was not until the afternoon of December 5 that Vietnamese billiards fans were able to witness Quyet Chien and Thanh Luc compete on the field. Notably, Chien and Luc are in the same group C.
