In Ho Chi Minh City area, there are 6 schools including: Ho Chi Minh City Banking University, Saigon University, University of Finance - Marketing, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and Van Lang University.
In the Northern region, there are Thai Nguyen University and Banking Academy.
In the Southwest region, there are Can Tho University and Tra Vinh University.
These universities will use the V-SAT exam results for admission in 2025. The V-SAT exam was initiated by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics in collaboration with the National Testing Center and Education Quality Assessment to provide a question bank system and exam organization software.
The exam is held on a computer. The exam content is within the high school curriculum, mainly the grade 12 curriculum (about 90% of the knowledge is from the grade 12 curriculum and 10% of the knowledge is from the grade 10 and 11 curriculum). The exam has 7 independent subjects, including: Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography.
In which, the time to do the Math test is 90 minutes. The subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography each test is 60 minutes. There are 3 types of objective test questions: true/false multiple choice questions, paired comparison (matching) multiple choice questions, and short answer multiple choice questions.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Principal of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, the V-SAT computer-based entrance exam has created favorable conditions for candidates to take the university entrance exam. Previously, in 2024, the admission quota of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City for this admission method was from 10% to 35% depending on each program and training major. The results showed that the percentage of candidates registering for the V-SAT exam at the school that conducted the admission registration accounted for a very high proportion of the admission expenditure, this method had a fairly low number of virtual candidates.
In 2025, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to maintain stable admission methods and will give a positive rate to the V-SAT admission method to help candidates take the exam at schools organizing the V-SAT exam for admission to Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City.
