Mr. Khuc Xuan Duc - Chairman of Thanh Ba District Red Cross Association said: In 2024, the Red Cross Association supported the construction and repair of 5 humanitarian houses for poor households in difficult circumstances in Hanh Cu, Hoang Cuong, Dai An, Son Cuong communes with a total construction value of nearly 1 billion VND. In addition, the district association also promoted and mobilized local people to participate in helping and supporting families in many forms such as working days, materials, etc. to join hands to build new houses with a humanitarian meaning.

It is difficult to describe the joy of this Tet of Mr. Nguyen Van Luc's family, a poor household with extremely difficult circumstances in Da Ban 2 area, Ngoc Lap commune, Yen Lap district, when they received a new house. For many years, his family had to live in an old, seriously degraded house. The dream of a new, solid house seemed very far away, but the joy came from the joint help and connection of the Red Cross Association at all levels, in which the Provincial Red Cross Association supported 50 million, the Red Cross Association of Bac Tu Liem district (Hanoi) supported 30 million, the rest were officials, civil servants, officials of Ngoc Lap commune and people in the residential area supported money and working days so that his family could have a new house with an area of ​​over 50m2, worth over 100 million VND, which was handed over before Tet.

To multiply humanitarian houses, the Provincial Red Cross Society has directed local Red Cross societies to survey the needs and evaluate beneficiary households; coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to conduct public and transparent inspections to ensure the rights of poor households with real housing difficulties to provide timely support. From there, a list and records of humanitarian addresses are created as a basis for mobilizing support resources. In addition, the associations at all levels have been proactive, flexible and creative in mobilizing resources from organizations, individuals and philanthropists. With the attention and support of Party committees, authorities and Red Cross societies at all levels, many humanitarian houses have been newly built and renovated, helping the poor to "settle down" and enjoy a warm and loving Spring in warm and loving houses.
