Italian Consul General Enrico Padula paid a courtesy call to provincial leaders

Provincial leaders received the working delegation of Italian Consul General Enrico Padula.

At the meeting, Mr. Enrico Padula - Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City expressed his desire to further promote cooperation with Ben Tre as well as other provinces in the Mekong Delta region. Mr. Enrico Padula also introduced the strengths of Italian enterprises in the production of agricultural packaging and rice products, and wished to cooperate more with Ben Tre in the agricultural sector and have activities in the fields of culture and people's diplomacy. In particular, the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City will act as a bridge between Italian enterprises and local enterprises in Ben Tre.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son welcomed the delegation of the Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre. In response to the opinion of Consul General Enrico Padula, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son also introduced the strengths of Ben Tre's economy, including agriculture, marine economy, garden economy, coconut products, and informed about the bright spots in the province's import-export activities last year.

Foreign investment in Ben Tre is mainly concentrated in Southeast Asian countries and the United States, focusing on the agricultural, garment and renewable energy sectors.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son said that the provincial leaders really hope that through the Consul General, there will be more opportunities to connect Italian businesses with Ben Tre businesses to develop the local economy. Ben Tre really welcomes and welcomes Italian businesses to seek investment cooperation opportunities in the province.

The provincial leaders presented Mr. Enrico Padula with the Ben Tre symbol and gifts of local specialties, and invited the Consul General and the Consulate General's experts to return to Ben Tre and visit the local agricultural and aquatic product production areas.
